Cajun Pirogue (it's like a canoe)

[hot stuff]

So I made a pirogue
get some plywood

 
making measurement lines

 
you have to make lofting lines

 
sides cut out and put together

 
got the bottom on

 
fiberglassing the connecting boards on the bottom, stern and bow

 
varnished and ready for the water

Nice stuff man! My brother has built a pirogue and a kayak out of plywood. I need to try it out sometime.
And you need to find some marsh up there to put that thing in!

I was overwhelmed at the dock where I launched its maiden voyage by the number of guys launching their bass boats, asking me if I made it and congratulating me on the build and its looks. Definitely felt manly that day. lol.
