I now have somewhere around 20-30 Strains in all stages.

I have a nice little home made 100$ greenhouse that is already the home of a bunch of Veggies. Why not some Peppers?

Well enough ranting, here's SOME of what I got crackn'

Purple Bhut
CIMG0056-1.jpg

The Bonsai Black Pearl... Bom Bom Bommmmm!
CIMG0060.jpg

The Choc. Bhut x Yellow 7 pot
CIMG0006.jpg

The Fatalii
CIMG0003.jpg

The Cayenne! Pruned the Praxxus55712 way http://www.youtube.c...er/Praxxus55712
CIMG0008.jpg

AND A LOAD OF SEEDS IN THE JIFFY DOME!
CIMG0001-1.jpg

If you see anything wrong please let me know. As you can tell I dont have a lot to show off. This Glog is more so I can get help and learn

Suchs about the fungus! bt if your gonna start those other seeds i guess you can restart some of the others as well :)

Yeah It was a bummer, but for the most part I had back up seeds for every thing except the White 7 pots.

Here are some pics i thought were interesting:

The Black Pearl Sure branched out after that Low Stress Training.
CIMG0054-1.jpg

I call These "Rain Gutter Radishes," more for a snack when I'm messn' around in the Ghouse. It's funny, when they are ready I just pull one out, eat it, and drop a seed in the crater left by the last on. They go from Seed to ready to eat in around 30 days!
CIMG0041-1.jpg

I don't know if you can tell how big this is, but thats a tote and a 3gal pot besides this blossom
CIMG0043-2.jpg

This is a Pumpkin that will be transplanted in someones yard as a mothers day gift.

Sweet and savory mixture,
in the Germinator. After the mold incedent, I broke down and got a Jiffy kit for 7.00$ at home depot. Why not?
CIMG0071.jpg

Those are hot sauce cups from the local Taco Shop. I never realized how many I throw away untill I started germing seeds in them.

All the seeds have Soaked and are now in to Jiffy's

Also Special Thanks to Sawdust! I just got your Tepins and they are in the mix!
Woot!
CIMG0001-1.jpg

That is a Heat Probe for cooking! haha it tells me the exact Temp of the soil.
CIMG0003-1.jpg

So Its sitting at a consistent 91* the 122* is an alarm temp that I forgot to change (doesn't really mater due to the fact I turn this thing off until I check it.)

You should have great sprouting and root development on your young plants with that soil temp, just make sure the soil stays moist!

good, I just feer the Mildew... wiped out the last batch. I got some H202 on hand and ready!

Air circulation does wonders, I'd rather have my plants sitting in 65 degrees with an open window and some fresh air then have them sit in 80 degrees with no fresh air at all and closed windows!

I love it! "I picked up a hab...did a bit of research..." and now you are showin a HUGELY diverse list! You definitely have a great GLog, and I am happy I stopped in. I think that sweet and savory pack is pretty genius, you are definitely coverin a ton of ground and will have a great garden come plant out. What are your plans for plant out? Are they getting put into containers or in the ground, and when are you doin it?

Anyways, I will keep checkin in, as long as you keep updatin!

Wow thanks!

The plan is...

Germinate as many as I can,
then move them from Jiffy's to Solo cups. Once the get that 2nd or 3rd set of leaves, I'll start acclimating them to the greenhouse during the day but get some bonus light at night inside. I am running them ~18/6 of light. When they get about 4-5 sets of leaves the get potted up in to 1gal's and then to Deuces.
I have a load of Deuces (2gal buckets) left over from when I was a painter. They only ever had Water-based latex paint in them.
2012-05-13_12-44-16_138.jpg

So from left to right I have:
Hot Sauce Solo cup - For organized PreSoaking
Standard Jiffy - Seedling Stage
Solo Cup - till about ~4" tall
1 Gal. pot untill about ~1' tall
2 Gal. Probably wont out grow this until next spring
And last but not in the Pic 5 Gal. Homer Buckets

As for Ferts, Im starting to lean toward Organic. I'm a big fan of Pepper-Guru, he grows TREES on Organic Tea's and such.
I have started using a 5gal. Bucket, that I brew up some oxygenated water with a hint of Fish emulation.
2012-05-13_12-46-12_580.jpg

The cool thing about a wood frame Greenhouse that cost 100$,
You can Modify it any way you please! I saw the temp get to 108* in some spots the other day so I realized that I will need some cirulation in there if anything is going to survive! And so... I added a Fan and put it on a timer.
2012-05-13_12-46-32_550.jpg

Don't worry, your not :high: the Blades are fine that's just how the pic turned out while the fan was on. I will be mounting it more permanently soon.
This was just a quick fix to keep the Temps down AND IT WORKED! Max high is now 95* ish

Here are some pics of the Purple Bhut, Black Pearl, Cayenne, and more:

The Purple Bhut is growing out of its awesome purple leaves :tear:
2012-05-13_12-44-46_573.jpg

Any one know when a Black Pearl starts turning Black? This thing was just a seedling a month ago and now it seems to grow a new set of leaves every 2 days or so.
2012-05-13_12-45-42_33.jpg

The Cayenne is now getting the same treatment the Pearl got and seems to be responding well!

Woot!
One more Envelope to add to my collection! THANKS Dr. Cres!!!

Arledge, and Billy Goat, Added to the mix! And you will be the first to get seeds from the Purple Bhut! I am anxious to try both of these, as I haven't heard of either.

And I have to say WOW!
Dr. Cres went through the trouble or writing up a letter describing the peppers, what they like, and some other stuff about them.

Thanks Again Dr. Cres!!!

Looking good so far dude! What fish emulsion are you using in that AACT? What else are you putting in there to brew? More than likely, the emulsion product you bought has been pastuerized so brewing it would be almost pointless unless you incorporate something organic and full of good bacterias. Those emulsions are pretty much free of any living bacteria that was present before being pasteurized. They are really just a decent source of organic nutrient. If you want a tea that is alive, then add some kelp or worm to it along with the emulsion. I use heads and guts from trout that I catch which are covered in natural micro organisms. When using fresh fish parts, the need for other ingredients is lessened. Grow On! :P

Great glog Cayenne. Looking forward to more pictures, even of the Great Punkin you may get! Your idea for the sauce cups and 72 tray incubator looks pretty efficient. I'm stealing it, I think! Next time life gives me hot sauce cups, I'll start hot peppers!

So I dont see pastuerized anywhere on the bottle, Its Alaska Fish 5-1-1 BTW, but that doesnt mean that it isnt. I wouldnt be surprised if they left that off the bottle on puropose. I also put a cloth bag of Compost in there, hopefull that brings it to life!

You have inspired me to lean to the Organic side. That Manure Artical you posted was the shit! ;)
No but seriously between you and Jorge Cervantes, I am convinced I need to go Organic.

Tonight I think I'm going to educate my selft on a worm farming.

Yeah, my wife and I both have probably gained 10lbs in the last 2 weeks.... I have been pushing mexican food every chance I get.

In Guru's Glog I read this
http://thehotpepper....12/page__st__40
Mycorrhizae is simply normal fungi that exists almost everywhere in undisturbed eco systems world wide. They are forever locked in sybiosis with plant roots underground and anywhere decomposed material occurs. Often times, they result in fruiting bodies of mushrooms, but not all colonies will fruit above ground and form mushrooms. As you know, fungi are important aspects of soil chemistry and the soil food web of life. In fact, most of the great forrests on earth wouldn't exist without it.
That's when I remembered what I saw today

SHROOMS!
My soil must be ALIVE!
CIMG0006-1.jpg

Should I eat it? there is manure in my mix sooo... haha

Update woot!

Got a little package in the mail from USMC
A CRAP LOAD of Numex Heritage 6-4, and Big Jim!
2012-05-23_01-32-28_718.jpg

Thanks USMC, these are a Family fororite. My Mother in-law is from New Mexico and raves about there chilies. This should help bring Peace to our family, even if just for a few hours :P

So the second round of Germination getting fun! Enjoy

Billy Goat From Dr. Cres (Reminds me of Dr. Quest.)
Dr_Head.jpg

This is a very interesting plant for me. Apparently these seeds were harvested using the Biodynamic Calendar, a method of organic farming that emphasizes the holistic development and interrelationships of the soil, plants and animals as a self-sustaining system.

I Haven't spent a lot of time learning about all of it, but I can tell you this, The seeds germinated in 3 days with almost 100% germination!
"What do you make of that Rase Bannon?"
Sorry not the best picture.
2012-05-22_02-34-13_489.jpg

Next up we have some gorgeous seedlings. Got the seeds from STC, Explosive Ember...
2012-05-22_02-31-39_644.jpg

My wife has been bragging about my new found hobby to her friends. Turns out 3 or 4 people want to get in to it as well. I figure Trinidad Scorpions will be a good start for them, so I germed up 6 or 7 to give away as a part of Care Packages. These Seeds also Germinated very fast in the first round I did.
2012-05-22_02-33-43_693.jpg

This was a Late starting Choc. Devils Tongue, Lucky for him he missed the bout of powdery mildew that the first round experienced. I guess some times it pays to be late.
2012-05-22_02-32-13_459.jpg

Some Black Prince to go with my Black Pearl.
2012-05-22_02-33-04_757.jpg

These are the Survivors of the Dreaded Mildew indecent. They have Graduated to Greenhouse Gutter Cups!
2012-05-19_13-15-43_133.jpg

Giving the Landscaper Seedlings payed off! He gave me a few of these 7gal. buckets that he got off the pool guy. NICE!
Dont worry they are clean, they had individually wrapped chlorine tab in them.
2012-05-19_13-16-40_747.jpg

Well that's it for now,
the Pearl is dieing for attention though. I'm going to have to post some pics of that thing soon. It grows like a weed!

Seedlings looking GOOD. Whats ya bubblin up there buddy? DWC ?Oh and those arent the trippy kind of shrooms. Those are the liver and kidney pains for 3 Months kind....lol!

Yeah Glad I didnt eat them, I look for the ones that bleed blue. haha
That bucket is just bubbling out the chlorine in my water. We have a lot of stuff in our water down here in San Diego. I don't want to make my plants stupid from Fluoride Poisoning ;)
I also use it to Make Tea's and such.

So its been a little moist in SD the last few days and for me, the fungus gnats have been out in full swing.
When you see little cups of coffee in my plants, know those are just traps for the fungus gnats

Lets start with the Purple Bhut. Upgraded to a 2gal, and loving it. Notice the PVC on the sides, that is a new watering experiment.
2012-05-25_12-15-36_317.jpg

2012-05-25_12-19-49_362.jpg

Then we have the Black Pearl, Growing very fast and putting out little buds every where. I know its a little Early but I know a load of people that want seeds, so I'ma let her do her thing. (Same age as the Purple Bhut above)
2012-05-25_12-15-55_558.jpg

Here we have the Cayenne and a simple Habanero that have both been LTS'ed, more on that in a week or so ;)
2012-05-25_12-15-45_607.jpg

Here is a little sneak peak of my Choc. x Yellow 7. I havent been showing this or the FAT for a few weeks because they are getting a
TOP SECRET MAKE OVER (not that big of a deal, but worth checking back in a week or so to find out what it is) Anyway she split!
2012-05-25_12-19-09_438.jpg

The "survivors" as you can see fly strips work well for gnats!
2012-05-25_12-16-42_260.jpg

The Home Depot "Sweet Pepper?" doing well, with its friend the Wandering Jew (I didn't make up that name) and the little guy is a
Jalapeno that got tag-teamed by aphids and is recovering.
2012-05-25_12-17-07_499.jpg

I know not much differnce from last update but I just love the way these Explosive Ember look. New growth is
Neon Green but turns dark purple almost black.
2012-05-25_12-23-23_420.jpg

Here is one of the Serrano's that was decimated by Aphids and is recovering nicely.
