Thanks! I figure even if it gets too cold I can just winter some and keep some in the greenhouse.
I doubt I will even need to but hey I got a paln.

You sure have a lot of interesting pictures on your glog. Your plants look really healthy :)

I'm trying out the LST method on a younger pepper plant I got, like you mentioned in my thread.

Hey bro,

How do make a "Bonchi" (Bonsai Chile) with a pepper plant?

I think its awesome.

Blow by blow in this one please.

If its not asking for much photos if you got them.

Also, I am trying out your paper seed method...2 days into it will keep you posted.

One last thing, check out your PM thanks a lot :)

Good Grows my man...so inspiring.

Lol, Honestly... I dont know, but this tie them down thing that I do is similar. The official name of what I do is LTS or Low Stress Training.

It is VERY simple! all you do is bend it over and Tie it down.

I went from this:

to this:

in about 4-5 weeks! from solo cup to 1 gal. bucket in little over a month. and all the side shoots are within 4" of the bottom keeping the center of gravity low. Ill post more stuff when I get off work today.

Weekly update!

This black Pearl is not very simalar to what I find on Google images!?!?!
No black in the leaves, or veins. The flowers are white with just a little bit of purple.

Im liking the individual domes vs. the jiffy box. If I get some sort of mildew, it will be isolated to that plant!

here I have 24 Habs started, ether hooks or seedlings. These will be for experiments in the near future.

Here is an experiment I am trying now. Kelp for seedlings Vs nothing. Still to early to tell results, as the Kelp plants were behind a little when I started

Those purple bhuts are the shiz! Mine is already podding up like crazy! Every bloom setting fruit! Yours won't take long! Your Black Pearl is definitely suspect. Especially if it has been getting some direct sun.

Nope, Honestly I would have to say partial sun... Now you got me thinking, maybe I'll put it out in the sun for a few days an see if it blackens up.
Thanks Shane!

That purple bean is taking off

I'm going to weave it through the pallet after I re-pot it

That purple bean is taking off digging up a pic now...
Yeah buddy...just small doses at first! Or... :flamethrower: :fire:

Still think something is up??? Should be showing SOME color!?!?!

I'm not sure it will need hardening off, It gets 98ish in the Greenhouse, but where it hangs gets a little less sun light (4-5 hrs a day).
The thing grows like a weed, faster than all my other plants?!?! I really think it is some sort of cross, as it seems to be very healthy,
just... different lol

Now I really cant wait to see the pods! This makes it more exciting :P

One I dont talk about much, but deserves a mention, Cayenne

I have to share something, I have stopped using pestasides... Its been 3 weeks with no, neem, pyrithrin, nothing!
Instead I use this...
2012-06-07_00-00-30_380-1.jpg
I have been using assorted Aerobic Teas, Kelp(fresh), Compost, Fish, Pumpkin Stalk, or a random mix of what sounds good at the time :P
I am building a Bio-film on the plants that helps protect the plants without chemicals or expensive neem. So far it is working!
They also get Nutrients from the Teas. Because I am doing it so regularly, I have learned to make them a little light. I mix up only about 2 cups of medium per 7Gal batch, unless Its a Pumpkin Stalk, then I use a lot because its just pumpkin leaves and water.

Also, making the Teas thin makes it easy to squirt through a spray bottle.

Hear a few other random shots, enjoy.

Wow your fatali doesnt look like its making a comeback it looks like it never had a problem! Any guesses at what you think the black pearl really is?

I'm hoping its just young and confused
looks a lot like this guy
4820347698_b4afc4562c_o.jpg
But Its not nearly ad dark as most I have seen. Maybe its a cross, or maybe it's a light phenotype.
Who knows, But hey cant be mad at a plant that grows that fast.

Hey, Cayennemist! Have to agree. Your Black Pearl looks nothing
like mine. The leaves turn purple even when they are not in the
best light. Once out in the sun, they go crazy dark. We've had
so much cloudy weather, mine has lost some of that, but two
days of sun will make it practically black!
DSCN4492a.jpg

Then, again, I'm not sure if this is a Black Pearl, as mine doesn't
look like pics I've seen as well.

I wonder if we got them from the same source? Haha.
Your peppers are long and point down, Im almost sure mine will be the same way. My buds and the 2 mini pods I have are the same way, pointing down.
I'll have to ask Spongey600 mine from.

Regardless of its origin or name, these are still cool plants. How is the taste on yours?

Haven't tried it yet, since I want to wait for them to ripen.
They should turn red when they are ripe.

I thought I had posted this yesterday here, but I must have fed the post to the forum beast or something... Any way, my question was RE your username.

Is it:
Cayenne Mist
Cayenne Enema-ist OR
Cayenne Animist?

LOL!

This is a dorky thing for me.
When I was in my late teens, I played a lot of video games and D&D
I always liked to play characters that were stealthy or Ninja-esk. The origin of pepper spray came from a simple cayenne powder used by the Ninjitsu in times of desperation.

I used that name for 10+ years. It reminds me that I am a geek at heart. So to answer your question, it's Cayenne Mist aka Pepper spray

I can be found on many forums under that name, it seems to be unique enough than nobody has thought of it for a username on most forums or websites. So while your out on the interwebs like:
overclock.net, YouTube, Xbox live, or anywhere else. It's probably me.

If you prefer you can call me:
Andrew
Cayenne
Cay
what ever you want.

haha I'm a geek (computer though, less so with ninjas and D&D) as well. This username is pretty unique to me as well, no one EVER uses it, and very few people figure out its meaning, though its not too complicated.

I even own the .com - Jsschrstrcks.com is me as well :) has my gardening stuff up there at the moment - trade list, source-map, and so forth.
