Dude I believe you're a natural. Both of your thumbs green?;) Are you adding any supplemental nutrients or just the Miracle Grow potting soil?

Would you mind taking a picture of just your chinense?

Keep up the great work and you're going to be swimming in peppers this year.

sorry Matt, the wife has banished me to my heated tarantula room. trust me i wanted to move to a cooler location so they would slow down. but hey, they still look good. and yeah im still around 28 days to plant out.

Patrick, no nutrients added yet. thats all the soil. well except for 5 plants. my thai hots started to yellow, so i watered them with some epsom salt warer. they perked right back up in no time.

and what Chinese's did you want to see? i have a few of them i believe.

ill see what i can do.

Cody, none in particular just wanted to see how your hots and superhots were doing. Hard to separate them in that jungle! Thanks.

thats how they are looking. not to bad if you ask me. A little crowded, but only have like 25 actual days before i can put them out! whoo hoo!

Nice beautiful plants Cody and atleast she lets you grow in the house. LOL

Tarantulas have always been an interest of mine, but I hate spiders, go figure huh? I really dont consider them spiders, although I know they are, but they are just so beautiful and graceful.

"HATE" is a strong word. i doubt anyone "HATES" spiders or tarantula's, i do think people dont know enough about them. what people dont know scares them. also what people cant see. dont get me wrong, if i woke to a spider on my face..im going to need a change of underwear. but if i find one and know its there its a whole different ball game.(fact- tarantulas to most people are less toxic than a bee sting, only capable of harming those who are allergic. rule of thumb, if you are allergic to Bee's dont play with tarantulas)

here is a site for all the info you could imagine about tarantula's- www.arachnoboards.com

and thanks for the compliments on the plants. im stoked to put these babies outdoors and let the sun bring me pods of glory!! this year, my goal is to eat a raw, whole Bhut jolokia!:onfire:

And then spend the rest of the day laying on the couch in pain. LOL Have you ever tried a bhut pepper? If not, take it slow and work into it, I tried small piece of a Bhut and wow it was pretty intense. Nice flavor though from what I remembered before I had to drink a BIG glass of milk.

Thanks Cody. Your chinense are looking gorgeous congrats. I figured they would.

I hope you videotape your experience with the Bhut and do yourself a huge favor and do it on a full stomach!

One last thing; tarantula venom lacks certain peptides that can cause an allergic reaction in people.

thanks for all the replies. and yes, i will video tape the Bhut jolokia eating.lol

and i thought Tarantulas venom could cause allergic reaction?....hmmm.

anyway. im also excited about trying a fattallii(spelling?) what are those like? i mean, i know there hot, but flavor wise?

Kinda like me playing "village idiot" with a trinidad scorpion? LOL Yep, Im fat, Im ok with it though cause I can sit on you til you stop making fun of me...

thanks Patrick, i cant ever seem to get that one spelt right. and dont worry Matt, im not the slimest guy around either.LOL

Oh yes, it has a real nice flavor in the 2 seconds before the heat overwhelms it. Brought one to a guy at work who wanted to try it. After just a nibble of the end, he literally tried to spit out his tongue. When that didn't work, he tried to scratch it off. He was in pain for a few hours. Needless to say he is not a chilihead.

WUSS! LMAO!!! Yeah not everyone is mechanically built to take chilis on full force, I think most the forum members have some type of radiator system built inside them. Hopefully I can get mine upgraded before my Fatallis appear. LOL

The funniest part is the guy is a real badass who walks around with his chest puffed out to let everyone know he is tough. That is the hardest I have laughed in years. I literally cried I was laughing so hard. And he asked for it and I warned him. Most people just can't imagine anything that hot I guess.

you think thats bad, last season i grew some jalepeno's. well i had this one bush by my exhaust for my dryer outside. well needless to say it stunted the plants growth and ever pepper was really hot for a jalepeno. well my wifes brother(who i dislike anyway) thinks he is just so tuff. like you said a self proclaimed bad ass, if you will. he said "man i want one, i eat jalepeno's by the jar!" (which we all know are never hot at all) so i picked him a nice little green one and he threw it into his mouth, and less than one minute later he is beet red, throwing up drinking from my garden hose! hahaha...he said "man thats good!" hahaha. sad thing is he tried to say it wasnt hot. lol.

ill just be glad when i get some scotch bonnets. ive been craving with a passion some real jerk chicken. i even ordered a bunch of all spice berries from jamacia for the event! and im going to try my hand at some ceveche(spelling) made with some of the Aji lemon! i swear those things are like candy. brian had to stop me from eating all the peppers off his plants last year at a BBQ haha. needless to say i went home with a bunch of peppers.
