Comfort Food Thread

Searched and found one 7 years ago and instead of activating a necro thread with dead photobucket links I thought might start a new one. Winter here so probably gona do some sweet stuff
 
Had a craving for eggs lately. Rye bread/tomato with a slab of Havarti, Golden berry hot sauce and harissa sauce.

Cheese Chipotle Bread.
Used for Dipping with a bean dip I did

Chocolate Fudgy Cake.
 
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 cup dates
1 cup 100% pure chocolate. (blitzed)
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 Avocado,
1/2 cup fancy molasses
1/2 cup agave syrup
Nutmeg
Chipotle

Nothing to make it rise?  Was it dense?  I am not a baker but I am surprised I guess.

Baking Powder, forgot to add it to the list. Not heavy dense, it did rise 3/4 inch.

I only starting cooking with them the last few years.
 
Always have some on hand for snacking.
 
I reckon that bread.

LOL, its very filling, try some FIfe flour product and then the white crap stuff and see what fills you up. And yes it is difficult to not eat the whole thing.

great looking food bookers.  @ RG - I have used this recipe previously with good results.  Do not skip the charring the onion and ginger part, or the part about the rinsing of the bones.
