Man I had a Chimay tripel last night....really good. Soft and silky on the tongue. Really refreshing, especially at 8%.

Definitely was. I need to try more beer styles I haven't had. I also need to buck up for a temperature controller too so I can lager. I'd like to brew a Dunkel as well as some other cold ferment beers.

I think I'm going to pick up some different beers tonight on my way home.
Most likely a St. Benardus sampler.

That's one of many reasons I love folly packs. Speaking of which I drain poured the can of renegades wit beer. Didn't care for it

Pretty good. A little too much alcohol taste in this one. It's 10% so it's to be expected.

New Belgiums Rampant IPA gets a seal of approval as well. Shocking considering I never cared for their fat tire. But I still like slow ride their "session ipa" better

It pours very dark, and to my palate its flavor is rich with chocolate and coffee.
I think it's excellent!
One of these days I'm going to follow the boss's lead and put a big scoop of vanilla ice cream in the glass with it :drooling:
