breeding Cross Country Nurseries Superhot Smackdown

Man, New Jersey is a long way from Oahu... I hope they're on a supersonic jet, non-stop flight, for ya!

Did you get 2nd day air on the second shipment? Any progress on their travels since yesterday?

Ordered from them 2 years ago, plants came in the mail 4 days from order date. I'm on the Big Island, Hope the new shipment gets there as fast.

Well, the first order of plants just showed up....lets just say that seeing as how they were shipped on the 1st of June I'm actually surprised at the condition. I might even be able to salvage a few plants! Not many but a few. Looks like there are two Naga Morich that might make it(one of them for sure) and I bet I could salvage 1 cherokee purple tomato...maybe. I'm uploading pics to photobucket as we speak so stand by... :(

As soon as I opened the box:

the ones that look marginal are the naga morich and Trinidad scorpions are BARELY ALIVE if you can even call it that. The last picture shows naga morich right front with scorps behind it and the mess of 6 on the left are or WERE all tomatos.

Man that sucks.

I can't believe they shipped a tomato plant with a tomato on it or maybe they didn't and it grew in transit, since it took 15 days to arrive.

Huh? Tomato on it?? There were no fruits anywhere in that box...did I miss something...? I'll go check the pictures...

Last pic, top left, third pot down.

HUH!! Look at that shyt! I was in such a frantic rush that I looked right past that little sumbytch! In that case, +1...damn them for shipping with fruits set! lol Honestly though, i bet it just grew in the box because it HAS BEEN 16 days.

Can't believe you'll actually have a chance at saving some of them after such a long time in a box. That Naga Morich really doesn't look too bad at all. Good luck with the others.

Any progress on the second shipment?

I'll be real curious what the company has to say if you go back to them. I was thinking of ordering some plants from some place next year and just starting to do some research.

chilehead70301 ....... logchief You guys live IN the States .... as in the continental United States. I can't see where you'd have the same problems. And I could care less where you get plants or seeds. I have nothing to do with CCN , just a customer.

DarkTrak ...... dude .... my plants sure did look better !! But Texas is much closer. Like others I think you may be able to save a few. Give them a try anyway . I hope things work out inna positive fashion on the new plants.

Peace,
P. Dreadie

The ones that are just a green stem may actually surprise you. Just as long as the stalk / roots are still alive they may just make a come back. I wouldn't give up on them.

some of those stems dont look too bad, so I would trim off all the dead leaves (even if that means trimming all the leaves) give em water and they should sprout new growth

WOOO! The other shipment arrived!! WAY BETTER!!

Congrats, very happy to see that things were rectified. Now comes the fun part...waiting for them to grow and then fresh pods when you feel the need ;) No more trips to the store to grab peppers for your enjoyment

I just hope this "Island Supreme" potting soil does good. It seems nice, light and fluffy with plenty perlite...who knows. I'm ferting these with fish emulsion so homefully they thrive.
