They grew about 10 inches then the frost and deep freeze set in late Dec for about 3 weeks. Plants never looked better and I had a great harvest in late May early June.

Once the plants begin to yellow from green they are ready. Pull, shake off excess soil and place somewhere cool and dry to harden off about 2-3 weeks. Then gently brush off remaining soil and trim off tops to within 1 inch of bulb. They are ready to use at this point.

Masher May 12, 2018 #120 By cutting off the flower bulb it will put the energy into the planted bulb for bigger harvest. I didn't plant any this season. Yours look great.
