Will we get warm weather and all the snow melts then we get another dump of snow and deep freeze, then it warms up and back down again etc.. etc..

That's a bummer, especially about the pumpkin hab's with them being one of your favorites.  I'm with Devv about the brain strain sprout.  It looks strong and there's green, but it's hard to tell about the cotyledons and whether it has a growth tip or not. Hope so!

Its seen very little light so that now its got light it will expand, will see in a few days
Guessing Im going to have to rely on the store bought plants for a few of them. Will do a third batch of the Pumpkin Habs today, bummer

I wonder if the capsaicin alters the physiology of the aphids making them unpalatable?

Hopefully it laid some eggs first!  I just googled it and apparently only 3-10 days to hatch into nymphs, depending on ambient temperature.

I bought some ladybugs for my grow shelf and
greenhouse. They seem to come and go. Sometimes
I can see them crawling around, other times nary one
to be seen. I guess they hang out in the foliage.

Damn, when i saw the ladybug shot i thought it was going to be an happy one with all those aphyds... I've had aphyds problem just once and i sprayed the classic soap and water mix... I don't know if it's really effective but it worked... But i had much less aphyds, not comparable...
At least temps are ok now...

Picked up some peppers from the store, havent seen these before so figured would try them, the Long Cayenne/Sriracha just figured easier then starting them.
+4c last night and +2c for tonight so still too early for plants.

Looks good, you should get pods from these. I grew Cajun Bells a few seasons, I think I made a sauce with them the last time, and I have 4 Sriracha Hybrid plants now(three are looking good and one looks wonky). Anyway, good luck with these.

That's a lot of potential production DF!  Should be an easy head start, too.  At first I read Hot Pepper Piment Fort Gong Bao as Hot Pepper Piment Fort Going Bad.    Thought it might have been on discount
