UPDATE 8/14/09

Pretty much a given at this point that my crop of chili was started a bit late. Can't say how much I appreciate all that I have learned here on THP.com

So, I had flowers set fruit and nothing would happen from that point. The plants would drop the flowers/podlings. At that point the plants were under an outdoor shade because I found that the top leaves were wilting badly during my lunch break. I didn't suspect that I needed nutes with the use of FF Ocean Forest. I want an organic farm. The nutes I just got cost me a total of around 20 bux. Not that I don't appreciate the chili's, but I'm not too interested in spending more.

Since that point nearly two weeks ago I have put into use Guano and fish emulsion. I have also removed the shade and just let the plants wilt during the day.

These are the results.

Tequila Sunrise

I can't believe it, these are from the plant in the shitty soil that I never was able to mend.

Thanks, I'm trippin out. The tequila sunrise pods are heavy enough that they made the stem bend over. Luckily it didn't snap. I had just spent the day before shoring up a whole bunch of the branches with loaded pods too. This one only had 3 pods, I didn't think it needed help. I thought wrong I guess.

Here's quick update on my Habby, it's podding up pretty good right now.

This pic was taken on the 3rd of Sept, this pod has more than doubled in size, I'll make another update soon.

I first want to say thanks to everyone who has helped me and all that I have learned here on this site, chiliheads are some of the most bestest people I have ever come across. I appreciate you all.

I know I've been away for a while, my small biz had a growth spurt. Between a full time job and my small biz I just didn't have time to post here.

Currently planning the next crop. I know I'm behind but I'm doing a bit of a group gardening thing with some people in the community so we're all starting up small gardens at the same time. I'll be hosting the group at my home next weekend where we'll hopefully get to do some potting and learning and sharing informations. It should be quite successful.

I'll go through the seeds I have that I collected from last year and post what I have. I know I owe a few people here on forums another thank you for sending me some seeds. Thanks again.

I let the plants go over the winder. Surprisingly most of them made it. They got pruned back yesterday and hopefully they'll be repotted next weekend at the group meeting. I'll be going to get some compost and mending it with some added organics just for a good boost.

I'm looking forward to my second season ever growing chili's and looking forward to sharing it all here with you.

What up Diablo- wondered if you were around anymore, good to see you around. Always good to have some overwintered crops!

Thanks brotha! Yeah, I read a few things on this site and a lot of people like the heat, harvest and maturity on a second season plant. We'll see how it goes. Sadly, it does not appear that my habby made it, *que taps*... I'll put a few of those dorset seeds that you sent me to sprout this week. I hope they make it.

I have learned a lot here on this site. I have a lot to grow on though in the practicality aspect, as in practical experience. So yeah, I'll be learning a lot.
