So about 4 years ago i used to be in tremendous shape. But after i moved from NY to IL my workouts came to a halt. Then when my wife was pregnant she had some serious morning sickness, to the point when the only thing she managed to keep down all day was wendys. So that being said we basically lived off of Wendys for 9 months. Needless to say ive gained a bit of weight. Not a terrible amount. (10lbs or so) But for my height its pretty noticeable.
So about 3 weeks ago now i started going to the gym again. And ive been having some decent success there are far as muscle gains go. But i really wanted to speed up losing my belly fat. (This is where 99% of my weight gain ended up) So i decided to try intermittent Fasting.
Basically for anyone who doesnt know intermittent fasting is where in a given day you're only allowed to eat for an 8 hour time period, then you have to fast for the remain 16hrs. (Fasting mean you dont eat, you can only drink water) With a reduced calorie intake (1500/day) im hoping to lose 2-3lbs of belly fat a week
Has anyone tried intermittent fasting? Does anyone have any other workout/dieting that worked for them?
Should also mention that ive reduced my caloric intake to 1500 and i cycle my carbs. (Workout days i have more carbs less fat and rest days i have zero carbs and more fat.)(protein remains consistent at a 1.5g/lb ratio everyday))
