seeds Disinfecting seeds

Hi all,

I just started of some seeds Januari first and I have noticed that several of them started to to get mouldy. Now before I start some more I would like to disinfect them prior to sowing.

I have read something about a bleech solution, could someone tell me the amount of bleech on 1 liter of water and how long the seeds should be sooked.

Or maybe if there are other ways to prevent moulding of the seeds.

If you google for BLEACH treatment of pepper seed I'm sure you would find something. I believe I go lighter than the recommendations and do about 1 part household bleach to 5 parts water. After 30 seconds I dump it and rinse them off w/ plain water. It's good to make sure your medium is sterile and is there is some occasional air circulation.

10% tsp solution for a couple of hours, rinse, dry or sow.

I had a lot of seeds in wet paper towel in plastic bags go mouldy, but I think it is probably that I didn't sterilize my hands. I guess you shouldn't touch them at all if you can help it.
