My buddy has been growing the ghost pepper and tonight we pulled a red one off and ate it. I've seen the videos and I was very scared but I just had to try it. I cut a small piece off and chewed it a little and swallowed. Heat started to develop and my stomach was burning a little. In the end it was nothing overwhelming. I end up eating the whole pepper. It got hotter and my stomach burned a little more. At time my stomach hurt a lot but after 45 minutes all is almost back to normal. My mouth tings a little my stomach feels slightly upset. I have no nausea.
So my question is, is this pepper a dude that I had or am I just naturally tolerant to it.
Growing conditions. The seeds were planted in the spring on long island. We had high 80's low 90's all summer. The pant had tons of sun light.
