I have a DWC running, the pump works 24/7 and its noisy enough that I have to keep it outside the house.
This becomes a problem when trying to overwinter the plants because it freezes ouside and the wife doesn't want it in the house...

With a lot of pumps you have to expect noise.

That's a water pump, right? Air pumps/compressors are louder. The little AquaAir 1 I just started a few days ago has a significant buzz.

I hung mine also, almost no noise at all. The bubbles popping on the surface of the water are louder than the pump itself.

My bad, it's only 950 GPH but I doubt most plants will notice the difference!

Ok, now I figured it out. I keep thinking in LPM for air. That pump is the equivalent of the 45LPM pump from GreenTrees.

LPM is Liters per Minute.
GPH is Gallons per Hour.

I'm trying to keep up with all this but..... I just bought an air pump that puts out 400 L/hr, which would put me at around 7 LPM which by the sounds of things I need to take back to the store ASAP because it's not going to run bugger all! Or am I wrong?? What would this thing actually be capable of?

Wish I had of seen this thread two days ago.
