Epsom Salts

Those are purty!! I have another very young cayenne and a fatalli popping. I'll try the rootblast on those and leave out the epsom salts. They should both work and it'll be a fun little experiment.:) As of for now I'll use the epsom salts on the other babies.

BTW, have you had the chance to compare the Rootblast vs regular Epsom Salt?

Granted, the 'blast is pretty full-spectrum, so it's technically a fert.

It'll make your hair turn dark green!

Sounds like a great St. Pattys day thing to do if it does... ;)

Not yet, but I'll use it on my two really young plants when I transplant them. I didn't forget.;)

Would it be best practice to soak a plant or distribute throught -- how much per plant I guess I should say -- I have a Roccoto in a pot that hasnt a flower on it yet

Luckydog I'm pretty new to using the stuff myself. I'm on here alot, but it's because I just talk to much:lol:. The amount that I'm using seems to be working really good and I'm just using 1 Tablespoon per gallon. My plants are to young to flower as well so I wouldn't know how this is effecting it in that department. Everything seems ok so far. I'm just watering the soil from the top and I'm not misting any leaves.

Good news!! Well, my two plants that I almost thought were dying are really coming back strong. My 7 pot is finally starting to grow some little leaves, and my White hab which I thought was toast is dark green and really turned into a mutant. It's got more leaves growing at once than I thought was even possible!!! I've even got some leaves growing out of the notch where some of my older bottom leaves were. Growing out in pairs right out of the notch between the stem base and the main stem:shocked::lol:. Somethings working now.:D

I took an old container that had held dried sage last night and drilled holes into the lid making a shaker. I filled the badboy up with some epsom salts. After giving the plants a little trim of the leaves at the base, i sprinkled the salts around the mulch a bit. It was a little rainy so i'm sure some sunk in. I figure it's there and i'll hit it next watering which probably won't be for another few days. It's been very damp here this summer. This is good for the herbs and such, but these peppers don't seem to like it much.

I'm on a mission...a mission to safely stress my peppers.

are you watering the entire gallon to one plant? or just a good soaking
I'm just mixing it at that ratio and I only water it at that time frame when it's dry. I water it until water starts coming out of the bottom and then I'm done with it.:)

I watered my rocoto last night until the mix/water came out from the bottom then went on down the line until it was empty --

This has been a VERY rainy JUNE!! It's July now though so we'll see how it goes. We are supposed to get some severe thunderstorms tonight. They are saying possible 60 MPH winds, up to one inch hail, and maybe an isolated tornado. I don't know about you, but just in case I'm bringing my babies in for the night tonight;)
