Extract Q's

Hey guys,
I was wonderin about making an extract. How is it done??
I E-mailed Dave's Gourmet about 3 years ago to ask them, I got a response but at the time I didnt uderstand it. Is it easy to do?
BTW if this question was already a post could someone tell me where it is, I'm still trying to figure out how to use a forum lol. Thanks guys.

Ya, like actual real chiles that are over 1M scoville AND are tasty.

Extract = bleh

Ok I'll except defcon, his are pretty different.....but as a rule, I hate extracts.

No sense in using them when a Naga can dorf ya just fine.

Eat a Scorpion, 7pot, choc. hab or bih/bhut/morich, and you won't even want to think of extracts again....Hell, even a Savina or Fatali can make ya wish mommy had packed fresh undies. :twisted:

It'll taste like fun, AND blow yer head off.

Here's an idea..go to thehippyseedcompany.com, get some dehydrated nagas and either re-hydrate and eat 'em, or grind up into HellFire Powder. Plus, ya get seeds you can plant.

If that isn't hot enuf... well...nvm, it will be.

Oh I've enjoyed the end product, just that making it is hell. it has no taste if done right.

No one here is going to tell you how to do it, but if you search there are tons of websites that tell you how. Google is your friend.

Ok thats fine, It sounds way to dangerous. I dont want to do some back yard budget creation that would explode. QuadShotz talked "thehippyseedcompany.com" is that a pretty reliable site?

there are a couple of different methods to making extracts. Very few are safe of affordable. The alcohol method (the most affordable) is the most dangerous method. The fumes will mess you up....the alcohol vapor is flamable (explosive when concentrated) and the fumes from the pepper mix is comparable to sucking on a canister of pepper spray. Not very fun stuff to play with.

If you do attempt to make it PLEASE BE CAREFUL and use plenty of ventalation and do not use open flame.

If you want to try an extremely good (one of the best) get yourself some Defcon Zero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No chemical tast like oleoresins have.

I dont feel like trying to choke done a breath of pepper spray, I will see what Defcon has to taste.
