Finally fixed my computer

I moved to 2GB way back. I think the first rig was a Northwood.
Who buys a computer these days with less than a gig? 2GB is what you need to game on XP, so Vista? 4GB is my recommendation. the DDR2 prices are so low it's sad, so go crazy and buy as much as you can.

Agreed. If you can afford Vista, you can afford 4GB.

Vista finally seems stable after many installs. (BSOD, freeze during install, freeze at boot, loss of internet connection, etc)

I have been surprised by the level of support. M$ have been emailing me almost daily across Easter w/end. Mostly useless because Windows Live Messenger (where i get my hotmail emails) hasn't been able to run, so I only check in when i could be bothered over the web.

Oh yeah & i'm running 2 x 1 gb matched pair....should be plenty really but I wonder how anyone will be able to run this on a laptop. Dont see many 2 GB laptops.
