First hydrophonic trial

Hey,

I want to grow vegetables again this year.
Capsicum should not be missing, of course. :D

Planned are:
Hot pepper:
Aji Guyana (Capsicum baccatum; 6/10)
"Gelbes Rüsselchen" (Capsicum annuum; 5/10)
"Lila Luzi" (Capsicum frutescens; 7/10)

Capsicum (Anuum):
Kyra
Corno Giallo

Tomatoes:
"Rotkäppchen" (balcony tomato)
"Zuckertraube" (cherry tomato)

Cucumber:
"La Diva" (snack cucumber)

(I ordered from a German store and unfortunately can't find the English names for the hot peppers and tomatoes)

Unfortunately, so far I have only been able to get the Aji Guyana under the "soil" (Eazy Plugs), as the other seeds are still stuck in the post.


Since I have done a few experiments with lettuce and the Kratky method, I would like to try growing everything in the Kratky method first and then switch to the DWC for the "end pots".
I've never grown vegetables hydrophonically before and I'm curious to see if I can do it.

Do any of you have experience with this?


I would like to use the "fertilizer"/nutrient solution Dry Part from Terra Aquatica.

Yeah the main problem with these big net cups:
I don't wanna a amazon account and i searched a few weeks ago for these net cups on other online shops but couldn't find them :/

Yeah, I don't blame you. I do not want an amazon account, either. Maybe check for grow shops in the Netherlands? Seems like they would have some options to ship. you can get by with the small cut out net pots just make sure they are stabilized.

Nothing much to consider, it follows a hydro Ph and you will likely water them everyday, you will want to get a good amount of water runoff from the plant each time you water, every watering is a feeding. Really a great way to go about it. I picked it up from the dispensary I worked for a long time ago and switched my personal garden to the same. Currently, I am using soil with these pepper plants.

If it is not stretching then it has enough light. If they do stretch they can recover with time.

Im not sure I totally understand the question. I have heard of the breeder Reserva Privada back when I was seed shopping. Now, cannabis is so cheap I just go down the street to the store, they run deals at $40 for 7 grams with tax, or $35 1000mg distillate cartridges for vape pens.

In Germany cannabis not really get legal.
Its more than a German way of legalize cannabis.
You are just allowed to have 3 plants, can't buy cannabis at stores,...

I don't understand why they not just make it completely legal.
But its a German thing...

I don't think that the police will ring at my door to have a look if I have 3 or 4 plants.
But I also think that 3 plants is enough for me.

I am using cannabis for medical issues (have a prescription and so on) and just want to have Stellio back.

Okay, i am thinking more an more don't do the hydroponic project these year.

Maybe just make all with semi hydro in coco coir.

Maybe try it with my "old" self watering system.
Its not really perfect for watering plants with a nutrient solution but it should work.

I think that its really much less stress for me and maybe also much cheaper for this season.

How big would you use the buckets?
I want to use fabric pots.

Once they stretch they wont shrink, they will just grow into their long legs. A gentle oscilating fan helps build strong stems, I think you already have that part covered. They may have stretched earlier but they do not look bad now.
 
Hey,

i will try to make these weekends pictures again.
I was very busy but I think that the kratky did it well. :D

I have one question:
I ordered me two not oscillating fans to get the tent cooler because I ordered a Viparspectra P1000 in addition to the existing Spider Farmer SF300.
However, I am unsure whether an oscillating fan makes more sense.
I would also like to use it to expose the chilies to healthy stress from the wind.
Can I do this with two non-oscillating fans or should I have one oscillating fan?
