Capsaicin is thicker than water.
So wrong & disrespectful I would be too just hateful to do that to anyone exspecially a vet!!!!oldsalty said:Well got up this morning went out to walk my dog and check on my garden. 12 tomato plants torn up and chucked around my yard bicycle tracks everywhere tore thru my pepper patch as well haven't surveyed the whole garden yet want to cry I'm a disabled vet live on a very small budget looks like I'm out of luck this year.
At least I got a late start on my pepper plants have 10 more waiting to go but the rest of my garden is kaput!! Tore my cucumber trellis right off the side of my house.
I'm super nice to everyone in my neighborhood including the kids. I mow my elderly neighbors lawns and ask for nothing at do bad things happen to good people!!!!!!!!!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrvgggggggggggggghh
Does anyone know if I can replant the broken stem and get it to root they tore them up pretty bad hope I can save some of them!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
What's the point busted my ass to get my garden done after my injury, was extremely painful to even get it together this year so PISSED OFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!
I certainly would not have done it has a kid .oldsalty said:Thank you Shorerider really appreciate that yeah if it wasn't for the injuries I'd shake off a lot easier!!

My friend used to live in the st Louis area in a small town he said that you could not have anything there cause the neighborhood kids would destroy it
I said to plant poison ivy around the plants the next time they pulled them up it would teach them a lesson

Thanks Krakenpeppers!!!!! There was no saving them they were basically mashed flat no need to go into financial difficulty my friend have had unbelievable help from my neighbor's and my friend's here at THP!!!KrakenPeppers said:So sorry to hear that... Wish I was a local as I would be around to help sort it out for ya...
I had several 3-4 foot pepper varieties fall of a table in strong winds and hit the concrete this year.. THe stems cracked clean up the centre and folded, I thought they would be gonners.. So I got my regular old grey insulation tape and taped them as tight as I could and taped in a popsicle stick to add strength.. 2 months later things are still good and I peeled off the tape to find a healed if not thick and scared trunk on my peppers..
If there clean broken I would cut the break on a 45 degree lightly sand the bark/skin around he cut and buy some rootex powder and follow the instructions to re-root the plants ..
Once again I feel for you.. I hope that they get there own in due course.. And more importantly I hope that your garden comes back together for you.
*** If I wasn't on the other side of the world I would love to send you some plants.... But the postage from here is.. well lets just say I could probably just buy the local nursery to you cheaper... I wish you all the best mate..
Really upset me for a few days but with all this killer help from THP Members and I'm feeling like I'm on my way to a even better garden one filled with lots of good karma and love Thanks PG76 you're just one more example of the people that make this community what it is!!!!!Plantguy76 said:I certainly would not have done it has a kid .

I don't have a lot to offer, but I have a few plants I could spare once I get this nutrient deficiency taken care of and I am sure they are healthy. If you shoot me your address in PM I will gladly send you a few plants once our weather warms up.
Hey thanks ozzy !!!!! I'm looking good but pm me an addy and will do some trading once the season gets moving!!! Thank you my friend!!!!!!!!!Ozzy2001 said:That sucks. Scorched said:Wow.....just wow man. That freaking sucks Salty. Sorry that this shit happened to you. But amazing coming together of the THP community. It's great to be a part of this awesome community that takes care of their own when shit hits the fan and life kicks you when down. Looks like you've been well taken care of but if you see anything on my seed trade list that you like then it's yours. I once had this happen to me with the neighbors kids. They were only four or five years old and the parents were mortified and compensated me but it still is a blow to the gut to see your hard work just torn from the ground. Especially after all the care, time and cost put into raising them. There's a reason the "Pepper people are the best" thread exists. Pepper people are the freaking best and they prove that time and time again.
Thank you Scorched!!!!! I really appreciate the offer!!!! What can I say there are none better when it comes to truly amazing people !!!!!! The instant I had trouble the THP community gathered and squashed the problem immediately!! Just amazing!!! Looks like I'm doing great right now but ill pm you my addy and will do some kid season trading!! Thanks again Scorched!!!!Scorched said:Wow.....just wow man. That freaking sucks Salty. Thanks brother!!! Youth is wasted on the young! Lol Have a couple of local kids putting out feelers trying to find out who the culprits are!!! While cleaning my raised beds in the back discovered they took a dump in my plants disgusting!! Moved the beds to front of my property till I can get the back beds cleared up. Nasty!Scuba_Steve said:From one disabled vet to another I truly feel your pain. Little bastards have no respect for anything now days. I would hunt them down and do god knows what. Well probably just mangle their bikes and do anything I could to destroy their lives for a short while.
Sorry to hear this. I wish you were closer as I would send some Marines from Parris Island to come and educate these pricks on bicycles. Thank You for your service.oldsalty said:Well got up this morning went out to walk my dog and check on my garden. 12 tomato plants torn up and chucked around my yard bicycle tracks everywhere tore thru my pepper patch as well haven't surveyed the whole garden yet want to cry I'm a disabled vet live on a very small budget looks like I'm out of luck this year.
