Yes, I'm REALLY hoping it takes!Dang gas you've got some wild stuff growing. Jalapeno and Trinidad Scorpion? Watch out nacho's.
Thanks, man!Ok wow great log man took me about 25 minutes to get up to date looks like you had yerself an awesome comback season with lots of good pods and now maybe even some hybrids.
Well done!
You should've put some money on that....I bet those "not dorsets" will turn out to be orange. My guess anyways!
Don't feel alone on that one. To tell the truth, over the last season, the weather HERE has been erratic too!I envy the growing weather you blokes have 'Down Under'. I live in Wash., D.C. where the weather is documented as being some of the most erratic in the U.S.
Thanks bro!sheeet dude those pods look great
so do you know what those crumpled yellow ones are that aren't wasps? I dunno what wasps are supposed to look like. Finally a decent harvest!
A pile of my NOT Dorset Nagas and my NOT Wasps, plus two Choc Bhuts and a normal Bhut.
I just sprouted some jalapenos last week. First time growing them for me. Hope I can keep them aliveWell, about a week ago at the spare of the moment, I decided to try my hand at some cross pollination. Nothing was planned and I only had a limited number of plants that I could utilize (i.e. that either had blossoms just about to open or were producing pollen).
And possibly a Jalapeno x Trinidad Scorpion:
I won't be holding my breath though as not only is winter rapidly approaching now but both the mother plants are in poor health (my luck, of course, that the only two that take are on unhealthy plants).
Was that one over- wintered or first growth?Yellow Bih???
Nah, just a Yellow Bhut that thinks it's a Bih!
Yeah, I've actually been wondering if there might be some Aribibi Gusano genetics in there.so do you know what those crumpled yellow ones are that aren't wasps? I dunno what wasps are supposed to look like.
I have some seeds for the coming season from peppermania.com which look crazy, a bit like that. They are called Aribibi Gusano or cattepillar pepper http://www.peppermania.com/db_C-Aribibi_Gusano4.jpg
They are quite hot, but I wouldn't say super hot or anything. The taste is hard to describe - but it is a very strong chinense taste! I actually fried some green ones up with brekky one morning for something different, and I ended up tasting them all day (you know like when you eat a kabana and you can taste it for ages afterward? ).Just found your thread. You have def. been through a lot last season as well as learnt alot. I'm starting to think that broad mites played a part in some of my problems this season also. Better get some Rogor!
I love the look of those Wasps. What do they taste like and how is the heat?
Good luck with next season, I think you will do very well
Thanks mate!Somehow i missed this thread too. Your putting out some nice results Gassy...and the peppers you got in that bowl are making me hungry.
Good Job!
I just sprouted some jalapenos last week. First time growing them for me. Hope I can keep them alive
It is a first season plant. I ended up pruning it quite severely though due to the plant becoming quite unhealthy at one stage and I wanted to rid it of the "sick" growth. I dare say that is why the second round of pods are much smoother than that of when it first produced. Was that one over- wintered or first growth?
