GOD DAMN IT! Just my luck.

Luckily I live in TN where there are no inspections whatsoever. They threatened a couple years ago to do it but never passed legislature. I would forever be stuck because of the condition of my tires.

I know the Tennessee cars! They remind me of Blue Collar TV: "If you got a mobile home and fifteen cars that aren't you might have a red neck yard!" My dad in law has a school bus, a huge truck and a few trailers in the yard behind his TN fleemarket... Always reminds me of the final scene of "From Dusk till Dawn".

I have a theory about cars. Once you start repairing them, it's all down him. One thing leads to another to another, etc etc.

Mmmmm, standin' at the crossroad, I tried to flag a ride

Didn't nobody seem to know me, everybody pass me by......

IGG, you've got to learn some auto maintenance, dude. It'll save you a fortune in the long run.

I worked a lot on my cars back then on university. Didn't have the money for the pro repairs. But my rust buckets back in those days were basic tchnique. Nowadays you need a laptop for about everything except inflating the tires.

I wanna live with you. The last time my brake light went I'm ashamed to say I asked the girl behind the counter in the garage to put it in for me. I mean I didn't want to do it wrong or anything.

* Not sure how I could have done it wrong  I mean surely it would either work or not work *

Thats not entirely true. The basics and the theories are still the same. As a matter of fact, lately i find most people(who claim to be techs) rely way too much on a scan tool to figure basic problems out that you can do with a bit of common sense thinking and no scanner.

Well, I'm getting two back tires for $53 each (that includes tax and instilation).

I do know auto maintenace to a certyain extent. I just don't have the tools for it. Ever try to put a tire onto a rim without a machine?

It's when it comes to the newer cars taht I usually say f*** it, mechanic. This is because all the shits crammed in there. I did all sorts of work on my '75 Gremlin myself.

Actually, yes. It takes me about 30 minutes to do it(and yes, it sucks majorly). All thats required are a couple of prybars an a sledgehammer(to help break the bead).

Glad you have tried it, I just skipped that step and said, "Too much work there trying to figure it out".

Didnt have a choice. I blew a sidewall out on the way to my shop a couple of years ago, and i had an extra tire at the shop but no tire machine so i had to do it the hard way.....or spend the night on the floor.

$53 for 2 tyres fitted tax included, thats cheap. The cheapest i can get 1 tyre fitted is £30 roughly double the price you paid

Nonono, that $53 per tire.

Ok i'll reverse my last statement then 'thats expensive' i assume they are the cheapest type and your not spoiling your car by putting on mid range or premium rubber
