off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. It's 40F on its way to 44F. Cold and windy. Working on cleaning up my basement office today. Got some old furniture to load in the truck and haul to the burn pile. Sometime today, I've got a guy coming out to look at fixing a minor roof leak. Nothing much else is going on. Be safe and be good.
 
Good morning. Waiting for the sun to crest the ridge and it's 27F, on its way to 61F. Pretty heavy frost down in the bottom. The weather forecast doesn't look too good for Thanksgiving Day. Cold and rain. Bummer. Maybe it'll change by then. I guess it's time to start getting ready for T-Day. I have a hot sauce halfway done. Need to finish it today, just to get it out of the fridge, lol. Then, on to house prep for company. Hope everybody has a marvelous Monday. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's 21F on its way to 48F. Coldest temperature since March. Physically not doing much today but there's a lot going on. Getting new whole house WiFi today and some new furniture delivered. Also, the guy that was supposed to come by yesterday to look at my roof leak was a no show. Anyway, he's scheduled to come out "sometime" today. Other than that, not much else is going on. Sic .... yikes .... happy that your water situation is now resolved. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. 30-50F, a nice(r) day before whatever WX says is arriving. We got an inch of snow on Monday. More basement work today, now to bag and drag to ARC or Goodwill. I haven’t started on the gardening side of the basement - maybe after Christmas when we’re not as busy.

Good morning. Winter showed its face this morning. My knee isn’t to good today. Good day to stay indoors and maybe organize some things. Or maybe I’ll just drink coffee and read. @sicman , I’m genuinely happy for your water issue resolution. It’s amazing what hot running water does for us and how most take it for granted. When I was younger I lived in a house in the ghetto. No hot water or heat for 4 years. There was a gas leak in the foundation and couldn’t use water heater, heater or stove. Became a great bbq cook and learned to take quick efficient showers.😂 But was still grateful for running water, electricity and roof over my head.
 
ya 36 k is a lot. When you call about a well its 12 grand. Then they come out and start drilling everything over 60 feet is 55 a foot then after 100 feet its 85 a foot, sand screen is 3800. we ent 236 feet with 220 feet of casing. They wanted to charge me 8 grand to close old well. I told them no way and i dont have the money. So they said for a few hundred they can fill out paper work that says im going to rehab old well for irrigation. Its all crazy and nothing you can do about it. Oh WELL! Going over to the Blumbergs today for Thanksgiving. There will be lots of guitar playing and good times. Yall have a great day and good morning.
 
Good morning. It's 37F on its way to 45F. Cloudy with some light rain. Roof guy came out yesterday and said my leak is a window problem. The window guy came out and said it's a roof problem. The roof guy finally took charge of the issue. We're now waiting on a quote. Today I've got some old office furniture to haul to the dump. Not much else is going on. Getting ready for tomorrow. Looks like it'll be just the boss and I .... no kids. Be safe, be good and have a quality day.
 
Good morning. 24-37F and snowing. Looks like an indoor day. We did a few errands yesterday AM, clear streets, not too much traffic. I ran out of canola oil, so hubby went to the store at 7pm and saw empty shelves, no eggs, very little milk. We are crazy here and forget how to be ready for the weather.
Oh well. Have a wonderful rest of the day. Lots of things to be thankful for.

Good morning. Got 4in yesterday and 3in last night. It’s only 31 degrees so it’s all good. Lawn could use the moisture.

@catherinew that’s crazy store emptied. We don’t get that here.

@Downriver I made Turkey last week. We will be grilling. I think we will be doing Chicken fajita. Maybe some enchiladas and street tacos. It’s just me and my son. Unfortunately everyone else has passed away. Just my dad left in California. But we make do and have lots of leftovers. 😂

@sicman Hope your taking a hot bubble bath while drinking coffee and rocking out to metal in the background.😆

We're having a traditional Thanksgiving Meal: Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, Mash Potatoes/Gravy, Roasted Veggies, Green Bean Casserole, Dressing, Cranberry Sauce, Dinner Rolls, Watergate Salad and a bunch of munchies to snack on during the day including veggies/dip, charcuterie board, pickled herring, smoked salmon and crackers/pepper jelly. Wash it down with a few bottles of wine. I'll probably be in a tryptophan induced coma by midafternoon :).
 
“What's everybody going to have for Thanksgiving?”
I’m having Christmas for everyone so I’m not cooking for Thanksgiving as I’ve done for too many years. So . . . We’re going out to eat and not have turkey, then to son’s house for his infamous pumpkin pie made from my pumpkins. Turkey’s in the freezer for another snowy day in January.
 
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving. It's 25F on its way to 40F. Cold, crisp and clear. We've got a nice fire going in the fireplace and the cats are sprawled out in front of it. The coffee is tasting great this morning. The turkey is cooking, I've got my eating pants on and I'm ready to help out with whatever needs prepped in the kitchen. I've been told we're eating at 1:00 PM. Today will be consumed with eating, drinking, NFL watching and relaxing. Hope everybody has a great day. Be safe and be good.
