off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. It's 72F on its way to 95F. Sunny and breezy ..... under a heat advisory. RF 105ish. Going bass fishing in a bit. Back home to futz this afternoon. Grand kiddos will be here this afternoon and through the weekend. Mac-n-Cheese this evening.
@ DR: This year, the mosquitos and ticks are really bad here. It actually seems like all the insect activity is extreme. Sorry to hear about the "island" garden.
Things are progressing in the garden. Harvested a few onions and leeks yesterday. Noticed that the beets are ready to harvest. The peas are done and have been completely harvested. I'll pull out the plants this weekend. All the pepper plants have set pods and finally the tomatoes are setting fruit. The bean plants are up to knee high. In a month, we'll be in full up harvesting and canning mode.
Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's sunny and 59F, on its way to 85F. Calling for mostly sunny and less humid. Yay - no rain today, but another thunderstorm rolled through yesterday. Knocked power out for 3 hours. Came back on in time for dinner, thankfully. Now that blistering heat you guys have been experiencing is on the way. Today, need to make a dump run, then home and feed the mosquitoes. Probably work on the chicken run. Hope everybody has a freaky good Friday. Be safe out there and stay cool.

Good morning. The temp rose to 98F yesterday, it’s supposed to reach 3 digits the next 3 days. Luckily we’re pretty dry, so we don’t have quite so many bugs. Going to the CG this AM and plant beets next to the earlier ones that didn’t sprout, plus weed a bit. We’re celebrating Father’s Day tomorrow, time for more patio cleanup. The wind/rain brings extra dirt, debris to our little area.
Enjoy this glorious Friday. Sorry about your ‘flooded’ garden, DR. Been there, not much you can do. Stay hopeful.

Done mowed the lawn. Sonya is off to some plant event with one of her friends. I have a buddy on his way for a morning jam session. Chilling the rest of the day with mild futzing. It rained heavy last evening. Summer is here and going to be wet. Have a great day and good morning.

Good morning. It's sunny and 70F, on its way to 90F. Calling for hot with plenty of sun. Better than rain, at least for now. Noticed increased hawk activity around the place, since the pullets arrived. Decided to cover their run with netting. It's about 12x24, but went pretty smoothly. Still need to finish the gate, lol. Today, I might venture down toward the garden and see if I can get there. I've never planted this late. Oh, well. It is what it is. Hope everybody has a super Saturday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning. 65-98F, sunny. We’re celebrating Father’s Day as everyone is in town. Lunch at a Mexican place, then here to play games. One more day of summer heat, then WX has given us a few cooler days.
DR, I always plant beans and beets after the garlic - 2nd week in July - so there’s hope you can enjoy a great harvest from your garden this year. It’s just not the same, I know.
Stay cool this weekend, the heat is just a hiccup in our plans for sure. Stay healthy.

Good morning, technically. lol

I’m doing. Knee manipulation went well. Except they put a block on the knee for pain and they missed the target. My shin and foot are numb and knee is not. PT was brutal yesterday and I have to bend it as hard and far as I can every waking hour. The pain is exhausting. Just hobbling around watering today. It’s been 100 and 20 mph consistent winds. 10 hours of that yesterday and same today. Sunroom roof came off and shingle son the house as well. Always something. lol

Take care and hope you all have a pleasant weekend.

Good morning. 63-90F, sunny. Chuck, you are a trooper through your knee struggles. Stay positive. We celebrated Fathers Day yesterday, nice to play games and talk. Today’s pretty quiet, one more day of heat.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Stay cool, celebrate your accomplishments.

Good morning. It's sunny and 75F, on its way to 97F. Calling for hot and humid with some clouds. Made it to the garden yesterday. The ground was good for weed pulling, but too wet to plant. Maybe with all this sun and heat, I'll be able to plant something today. We'll see. Thanks for the encouraging words, Catherine. I'm sure I'll get SOMETHING out of the garden, ha. Cheeseburgers do sound good, Sic, but it's grilled chicken tonight. Maybe tomorrow, lol. Happy Anniversary, Harry. Hang in there, Chuck! Hope everybody has a peaceful and restful Sunday. Be safe out there and respect the heat!
