grafting chili peppers

What would the benefit of grafting on to that be?

The great rootstock would be one benefit, another would be since it gets so big, you could probably get a few different varieties attached to it and have many different peppers in one plant.
 
The old Italians liked it because they got so many eggplants off of one bush( sometime hundreds) and they were able to withstand the winter cold a lot better being up off the ground making it a perenial eggplant. I am hoping it will be the same with chillies.
 
Sand, if you don't mind sending over seas I would love some as well. Seems like no one has them for sale over here.
