I've had to devise a new system of exploring cooking/diet ... I've had to get a todo list of sorts in place, some GTD-fu or some shit ...
Instead of keeping this massive facade of shit in my brain's foreground, and stocking gear and ingredients for when my free time comes, I'm keeping it binary going forward - I'm only going to have the choice between which of the next two things I'm going to explore ... A, or B. I have a text file with a bunch of stuff I've throught of, but now I'm only allowed to spend resources (time or money or otherwise) on the two concepts which are imminent.
An example, this weekend - there's only two things I'm allowed to read about, shop for, or spend time on (incl taking and processing photos, for example) - A) Chili/Corn-bread, and B) Mexican Rolls ...
I'm not allowed to run a muck on the tubes about all the things, lol ...
We got the kitchenware all organized, and now I'm getting the process overhauled and streamlined a bit more so I can make time for exercise and other hobbies - mostly because I miss programming the little IoT devices, really ...
I figure I'll add a pitbarrelcooker.com to my pit eventually, and spend one weekend of the month smoking on all the shit concurrently, and leverage the hell out of vacuum sealing to make most of the meat for a month's worth of cooking in a weekend. That's where sous vide DOES shine, carefully reviving vac-sealed food from the freezer.
That's the only way I'll be able to also grow some poddage, which I also want to do (again) ...
And so it begins ...
