beer-brewing Grass Snake has a brewing thread??

Usually get my supplies from Northern Brewer, but want to try out Texas Brewing that Grant mentioned in another thread on brewing supplies. We had a brew supply right across the street but it had to move to make way for the brew pub expansion. Another one that was up the road went out of business. A tear rolled out of my eye upon hearing that news. Brew supply houses should be on every corner like Starbucks. haha
 
Texas Brewing Is a 47 min drive for me, so might check it out one day. I will try to buy local first, but won't pass up a good deal from Northern Brewer or other brew suppliers when sales arrive. Hey Grant, if your out there? How long does it take to get something when you order from Stubbys? I expect it would be next day for me, if I ordered online..

If you ever are in a rush do not order from Northern Brewers. My in-state brew supply store Love2Brew delivered an order I placed yesterday, today. Very convenient.

He rocks. They typically ship the same day, but if you call, he'll happily do it right then and there ...
 
I'm telling you love2brew and Stubby's are two shops where the owner answers and rocks out customer service ...

I order from Northern only when I need an eccentric grain, or some piece of equipment or whatever ...
Paying NB or Midwest is paying ABInbev now.

It's finally gonna happen! Ordered a kit from Stubby's to get me started. Dang forgot one important aspect tho.. a wort chiller! Had plans on making one, but who has time for that. What do you guys think about the beer kit? Is it a good choice for my first batch?
