Greetings from Alaska :)

Hi there guys! I was growing pepper plants for first time and then I was looking around on how to grow them and i ran across this site. So I decided I should join, and well here I am :). I'm from St. Paul Island, Alaska. Not many people know about this place at all, I don't blame them, it is a pretty small island. I'll be starting a grow log soon when more of my seedling start to germinate. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of others with being able to plant them outside due to the poor soil condition and climate of my area. So I grow them inside my room :). So can anybody tell me any good pointers or tips on growing inside? Oh, i got lots of other plants growing to so I might share pics of them with you guys! :D

Howdy from Texas, by way of Ohio! :welcome:

Welcome from Washington state. There are many experts who are great about sharing their knowledge here. Hint...they all like beer.

Holy H3ck your in the middle of the Bering Sea!!! Welcome to the website, it's great to have you aboard!

I love growing indoors but unfortunately it got me into trouble as I couldn't stay with growing just peppers so don't ask me for any indoor growing advise

Haha, thanks for a nice welcomes and what not! :D

@Pepp3rFreak: Yes, I'm in the middle of the Bering Sea :), its nice island get lot of tourists in the summer... they just love seeing all the birds from all over (not really all over but from lotta places) all gathering into 2 islands and nesting. They also love the seals and some of them are scared of them for some odd reason, no they're not like the seals at zoos, the little sausage looking things, well to me they look like sausages or little round tubes or fur... haha. Oh yea, in trouble for growing indoors? do tell me about why that is haha, or PM don't matter to me, how you tell. Kind of suprising I'm almost only person here where I live is growing plants indoors. Well growing good plants not the "good" plants haha, if you get what I mean....

Oh another thing, how do you know what a jalapeno is ripe and ready for picking, because reading your guys grow logs it seems like all the peppers turn different colors from green to red or pink or orange, kind of noobish with the whole pepper growing and growing plants in general, all the plants I grew or tryed to grow lasted a few months, then I either run into mass bug infestation which makes me end up in throwing out all them and not being able to save or salvage any, or they just up and die for odd reason.. I probably posted this in wrong area so I apologize if I have.
Thanks!
