Too many factors go into that. I notice early season pods are always huge, in containers. In ground plants tend to stay throwing same size pods all season though. Likely heavily ph and nutrient dependent, followed by Sun hours and irrigation etc.

Well it has me wondering. It's been fed, and watered well with rain water.

Hell, it eats better than I do  :shh:

Just wanted to let everybody know I really enjoyed this contest and the banter, tips, funny one liners, and overall good nature of everybody involved.  I wasn't able to focus as much as I would have liked on my plants this year, but was super impressed with some of the hauls.  I'm not sure who's in the lead, but I translated somebody's recent overall number to pounds and it was like 11+ pounds from one plant.  That's incredible!

Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out of the final stretch.

Mike

I put all three of mine into one pot.....because everything threw pods while under the HID's....the plants had to rebirth/grow all new veg and pods once they were hardened off and put into the garden.

Unfortunately I only got about a dozen peppers of these because of it.

Will not be using the same system this yr......will also wait until March 1st before setting seeds next season.  no more Jan 1st for this guy.

What ya feeding them and whats the soil structure like?

The soil is close to 1 part each of potting soil, compost, and composted 50/50 cow manure/compost. I moved it to a 65gal container when growth slowed down in July; I couldn't keep it watered.
Been feeding it fish emulsion, gave it a good dose of tomato tone early on. Trying to make "tea" twice a month from compost, cow manure, and dry molasses. Small doses of Calmag. Water source is mainly rain water, about 70% of the time, when I have it. Well water has a high PH, around 7.5 to 8.

Zone 3 reporting in yet again.

Damn, that was grueling, eh? Not quite done yet, but there might be just one more. I was right about the cat. Pecker-Snot has decided to take up pepper harassment as a hobby, I'm mulling a fatali powder mouthwashing for the little bastige, but other than being cruel I don't know what that would accomplish.

So, am I ahead? Haven't really been keeping up lately.....

A few more....
Keep it going! I should probably harvest mine but I may wait. Just had a few day old snap, but its supposed to be mid sixties this week. Getting close. Still mustering the want to fashion some sort of dolly to wheel her in, ha

Looking at all the green pods you can figure out that the growing season is over here in the northeast. We have not had a frost, nor is one in the forecast, but my grow was terminated yesterday. A 25 gallon root pouch and 10 month later I am done.

Last pull 1816 grams for a total of 5681 grams.

Always a pleasure to grow with you guys.

Anyone have any ideas what to do with green Lemon Drops?

Love that scale!

That's it folks, no more pods on the vine. All you get from me here on out is color commentary.

Like TBG sed, really fun. My little plant (I named Lazarus for the many times I brought it back from the dead) was a real trooper.

You guys are too much. Yes, I'm just sayin' that, what I'd rather do is give y'all a big man hug and a cold, cold bottle of Nordeast, but alas!

OK, carry on. I'll stand over here and....watch.....
