contest Growdown Throwdown 2017 Aji Lemon Drop!

Great ideas, John. Might be good to have latitude
categories, as well, so the northern growers aren't
handicapped by a short season.

I'm afraid I won't be participating next season, as we
are going to be away for awhile this Spring.  Only going
to grow Tristen's cross for 2018.  If anyone is interested
in giving the PDN x Bonda Ma Jacques a try, let me know.
I still have enough seeds for 4 or 5 growers.  The thread
will continue into the next season so folks' results can be
posted in a central location as we head into the F6 season.
So far we have about a dozen participants.

Need to start a subforum with multiple contests.

Yeah if we can have a subforum (maybe a third subforum to go next to "glogs" and "growing other"), we could have a few different contests going. Then there can be the old "tallest plant" contest to go with the "largest fruit", "biggest producer", etc.

I mean these are just contests with pride (or bragging rights) on the line so there's no harm in spreading some more good-natured competition.

Anything to get the burn going!  :fireball:

(I'm in favor of a baccatum too, although I'll also put in for Farmer's Market Jalapeño or Bonda Ma Jacques)

Yep regional throw downs are a good idea; it makes sense for the playing field to be level.

I would love to get in on a throwdown next season if I have the seeds. Mostly growing Bonnets next year, but I have a few of my favorite Baccatums on the list. Fantasy was a pretty heavy producer for me this year. Either way, I will be watching to see how it goes.

I'll definitely be up for Aji Amarillo, Aji Golden, and Aji Fantasy.
Brazilian Starfish would be cool too! I've been wanting to grow it for a while, but I don't know if seeds are readily available, or if it's a good producer.

I would like to set up the Poll for the growdown, but I haven't been around on this forum long enough to know how it's done properly - And if we can add more pepper ideas along the way.
