OCD Chilehead said:Sun is going down, so I made a quick video. Sorry about the noise of the fans. They seem to be on all the time these days. Its been getting to around 105-110 in there. 60's at night.
Some varieties don't like the heat. I've had know problems with Lemon drops, Goat Weed, Chiltepin, Jalapeño or most other Annuum's. I've had some Chinese flower drop, not all, but some. That's normal. It stays in the mid 90's until September. I hoping the shade cloth and added humidity will combat the dry heat. If you look at where some of these varieties originate from, they have the same heat, but hella humid.stettoman said:
105-110? Don't they refuse to pod up after 90?

It's holding its own in the 100° heat, now under the shade cloth. Not in the best spot for pics, but too heavy to drag around
That's what I'm talking about. That sucker will produce some pods. You should be able to keep that growing year round. Nothing like going straight to the garden for fresh chiles while cooking. Mine last year spit out flowers into November, until frost got them.Devv said:
