contest Growdown Throwdown 2017 Aji Lemon Drop!

Try feeding with some type of balanced fert? A micronutrient dense solution. Something with some good calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron etc, hell, just feed it!
Gave them a shot of AK Fish Fertilizer and MorBloom.
All my plants, actually, to carry them into the Fall.

This is my competition plant, flowering, podding up, and discoloring merrily along. No lesions, but this "sunscald" can't be normal, or I'd have seen it on more of the lemon drops on these pages. Not one of my other pepper plants are showing this anomaly, and some/most of my others are getting more direct sunlight than this.

...and not a single ripe pod yet.....  patience, my friend!

I don't think it's a big issue - some plants just react
to the sun that way, more of a sun tan rather than a
sun burn or worse yet, a sun scald.  I haven't noticed
an effect on the quality of the pods.

Back from the woods, today maybe I'll pick some pods. Brutal storms while I was away and came home to tree limbs scattered all over the yard and a few luckily smaller ones in my pepper patches.

Getting time for pod picking and arrow sticking!

I'm green with envy!

Well, looks like y'all can throw the towel in, mine is starting to throw pods left and right. That diesel fuel really helped I'll post pics later. I'm on the road right now. Glad to see everyone is doing well. Hadn't checked in for a while but done worry, first weigh in is on its way.... 2-3 weeks probably.

Pods ripening up slowly since the cooler (80's) temps
and partially cloudy days have started. A number are
part way colored up, lots of pods on the plant:

Managed a small harvest today:

Previous total 305.75 gr
This haul 91.5 gr

New total 397.25 gr

Did you lose half your plant? I would have figured you for a much bigger harvest.
I guess I could have weighed all the pods on the ground but since we have zero chance of winning I tossed them. I had between 40 to 90 pods on the ground.

I'm not including any of the dropped pods in my weigh-ins, either.
I figure if a pod falls off, the plant hasn't really produced, i.e. ripened,
a pod. I probably have a couple of dozen laying on the ground.

But you are right, the contest is pretty much a moot point at this time!

So my plant has slowed somewhat, perhaps it's the cold snap midsummer we had, maybe I've overdone the nutrients or perhaps it's just afraid of Rich's plant? Anyway, small picking today and plenty more on the plant mean I'm chugging along to a respectable total...

Only picking ripe pods now too as the end of the UK season is not too far away

105g +603g = 708g so far
