My first harvest [emoji3]..
How many did you plant? May have just ended up with a runt, or it could be your soil?dragonsfire said:My plant is only 6" now Funny, last years contest seeds also was slow, had some left over and their doing the same speed as the YBS, must be the postal mafia messing with the post.
dragonsfire said:about 12, only one survived, started with a bunch of others and their doing well so the soil etc was standard.
Did you get your seeds in the mail when it was very cold? I no longer order seeds between Dec. 1 and March 1, as by my own experiment I found that if pepper seeds freeze , the germination rate goes down considerably and even if they germinate they may be slightly damaged. Several years ago I took 20 of my saved Ghost pepper seeds and split them into two groups of 10. I left 10 as they were and put the other 10 in the freezer for 4 days. I got 8 of the non frozen to germinate but only 3 of the frozen ones germinated. Not a scientific test, but good enough for me. The trailers that transport mail are not heated.dragonsfire said:Well they got lots of sun and heat.
He looks healthy, hes the guy on the second right, the Ahj Lemon is from last year seed handout, as I said, same thing happened to them, so Posty still suspicious. If the same thing happens next year then I will see it as a mail problem.

Planting in the ground is the largest possible pot. I'd still feed them like crazy though... [emoji6]Walchit said:They would probably do better outside
Yep...CMJ said:If I remember correctly, the pods that Guru got ALL of our seeds from sat out in the snow for several days before being harvested.....

If I may add my 2 cents size matters when it comes to pots. Below are 2 plants sown on the same day, treated exactly the same, same grow medium, except for the container they were planted in:

Note the little plant in the small container. Get them in larger pots and feed the heck out of them
