Really, put them in the dehydrator after you pick them please....
Now you see my evil plan after all! Everyone's pods drying before they weigh them! muahahahahah

Hey, Rich. I will definitely weigh them. I cleaned off
the plant yesterday in hopes of spurring more
flowering and pod-setting. Pic to follow...

Side note: I tried a green pod. Very tasty and a
nice mild heat. A unique flavor, almost had a
back hit like an Aji Amarillo. That kind of 'dusty'
overtone... don't know how else to describe it.

Dust is about right, spicy dust

:high:

Here's what I'm talking about. Just picked these 10 minutes ago. Plants look amazingly healthy and get plenty of water. Temps in the 80s. I dont think I've ever had pods do this before.
Have you guys tried a more shaded spot? My lil Mac has been doing this but I also have white flies attacking

Hey guys, didn't post anything in a while, life happens and such.

The plant is still alive and well. A lot smaller then I thought it would be this time of the year. I started to many plants this year so couldn't repot when it was necessary and weather wasn't too nice in the last weeks. But hey, I got flowers now, so I can realistically hope for a pepper or two. The plant itself is quite a beauty though, nice compact growth and bushing out even without topping. My other peppers don't look half as nice...

I'm glad to hear a few other people are having a similar experience with the slowness to ripen to a full red color.  I've had a bunch of peppers for a while now, but they refuse to ripen to a red color.

If this keeps up, I may quietly shift gears to the "Sri Lankan Chili GREEN".

Have you tried them green? They are incredible. They have more depth in my opinion.
