Makes sense and youd know better than I with these. So looks like I have an experiment ahead, only one was topped (larger) so now I wont top the smaller one. Ill have to see if it does what the other outdoor peppers did which was go all top heavy or theyll get all bushy like yours. Don't get me wrong, pruning has its place for indoor growers needing to stall stretch, save light penetration space, etc, but once outdoors...all bets are off. I've done every pruning experiment you can think of. Low stress training, sog, topping bla bla - The plants know exactly what to do and how to grow in their natural fractal habit.

Go to pruning this and you just stall it from doing what it needs to do anyway. As a grower we just make sure the soil is right, the light and water is right and step out of the way. Pruning is a novelty to pass the time indoors.
