Another three weeks, finally got some fruit, will post pics soon. (38c and hard to get motivated here)

Here was my plant the end of July.
And about a week later.
And today, I counted 25+ pods on it.
My backup plant has long since gone to the big compost pile in the sky so if this one croaks, it's all over.

Well, my plant started dropping leaves like crazy so I pulled all the pods except for 1 scrubby one. That being said, this second round had much smaller pods than the first round.

And the result, 29 pods at 861 grams for a total of 42 pods and 1693 grams.

Love seeing all these pods come in. Figured I'd go check mine. Saw one red one...had a bad spot..figured its time to weigh in.

Is it just me, or are these really susceptible to BER this year? Maybe it's all the rain I'm getting. Most of them are ok, but I see a few on the plant that slowly develop small blemishes that turn into mush near the bottom of the fruit this year. Didn't see that last year at all.

Same observance here! They seem to go soft if you try to take them to a bright red ripe.
One of my two that I posted had a soft spot that is visible in the picture. I really didn't think that was ber, but it was something.
Off subject :My brother in law came over to get tomatoes and then took a few peppers off my growdown plant. I woulda preferred weighing them in, but I'm not in to win this thing anyways so I didn't say anything.

It's strange....
they didn't do this last year. Hope its just a freak occurrence. I did see some super healthy ones on the grill in coldsmokes photos though!
I may be over irrigating. Think I'll back off a bit and see what's what.
Greetings, I haven't got any pods yet obviously but this plant of mine almost got decimated by a fungal disease, thankfully I was able to save it. Who knows maybe they too used to the UK weather. Lol

These things are very tasty. Perfect heat level for making a ton of low-mid heat level, session sauces.
