The first leaves are always a very dark purple or even completely black, but as the plant grows, the new leaves turn green with no darker shades🤷‍♂️

Yea, I though so, that was often the case with all of my purple ones (and I saw your bigger tasmanian black on the picture xD) but I didn't even think they could be black at the start. That is something worth pursuing :drooling:
