Hello Everyone in HotPepper Land. I am a newbie to this site and to any chat/forum site on the web. I am growing about 60 pepper plants this year. I have a 1500 square feet garden with all kinds of goodies!! I purchased some pepper plants from AJ in Fort Worth. He was super nice and turned me on to this site. I hope to learn a lot about pepper growing and canning/storing. I bought some bulk soil this year and have had a tough time getting all my plants started. It is only june and we are already seeing temperatures close to 100 degrees. I am only using organic methods of growing. I am not sure where to start with this forum, but I hope to hear from anyone with words of wisdom, especially if you are close to my part of the world!!!! Happy pepper gardening everyone!!

Wow. It Is really nice to have so many people welcome me here. I think it is great to be able to conversate with people from all over the world. I hope to get some pics of my plants up soon. However the longer i wait, the better chance i have of them looking better for the photo shoot!!! Between buying horrible bulk soil, seeing high temperatures early in the season, and all the darn bugs, my pepper plants had a hard time hardening off. Last year I only grew; Orange Habs, Jalap m, Fresno Chili, Tobasco, Cayenne, and a few bells and bananas. This year I have over 30 varieties, mostly superhots and a few bells and bananas. I am seeing a huge difference in the way each variety grows and each varieties abilities to uptake nutrients... Some are heavy feeders while others will show serious stress with too much fertilizer. And container gardening is waaay different than in-ground gardening. I am doing a bit of both.
 
Wow. You guys and gals are from all over the place. It's pretty cool that people from all over the world can meet here and discuss our rediculous addiction to the allmighty hotpeppers!!!!
