Hi From CT

Hi all from CT.

Been into hot peppers forever, but this is my 1st year growing the super-hots......found this site....

Will try to get some pics up in a few days....

In my garden (proper) in 2012:

Cayannes
Thick Cayannes
Scotch Bonnets
Hot Thai
Habenaros (orange)

In pots:

Devils Tongue
7-Pot
Ghosts

a few of My Devil Tongues are starting to turn yellow in the past week, but Ghosts and 7-pots are nice and green, but no sign of turning......being in the North East, I have about a month of outdoor time left - my plan is to bring the pots in to the garage on frost./freeze nights.......will I make it? What triggers the fruit to turn to orange/red? Shorter days? Cold?

I love this stuff!!!!

I mostly dry (in dehydrator) and ground up with a little coffee grinder....and make various hot-sauces (never the same twice)

Thanks

Yea they will do good if you move them into the garage on those real cold nights, i had mine in the garage for about a week during a early cold spell.
Seems like good old plain time is the factor when they turn i am finding out.
Hay Welcome from Wisconsin and lots of good info and people here to help

:welcome: from sunny South Florida! :woohoo:

Welcome from CT - they'll be alright until the frost and hopefully we dont have an Oct like last year! I would put them in the garage off the floor - does your garage get cold? You can also put them in the basement with florou's
