I want some of these.  Don't think I will get them this season as ordering just one packet would be too expensive with the shipping, but they would set off my salad creations this year.

Things looking good, Jeff.
I've got a few edemic plants since I started bottom watering. Before I was hitting the 3.5" deep pots with 1.5-3 oz of water every 1-2 days top-watering and no problems
But I got a little heavy handed when I switched and they apparently will suck it up if everything else is in line.
I'm trying to dry them out some with a fan.
I'll bet that 7 pot in sausage and eggs would sock your knocks off :D
Have a good one.

It was warm, but not as warm as fresh.  It was nice to get that familiar burn back in the mouth instead of the powder burn I am used to this time of year.  Probably have around 5 gallons of peppers in the freezer that I am waiting to smoke and make something out of.  I got so many sauce making questions right now lol

Those are some cool looking onions! What're they called?

I run a fan all the time...and water like crazy with no edema problems, but we have almost no humidity here anyway. The plants look fantastic none-the-less.

Just google red bunching onions and a few varieties should show up.  I ordered some seed to try off ebay and off amazon.  They were cheap enough to give a shot and see.  That will make 5 types of onion seeds planted this year.  If I like em, I might try a second planting of the bunching onions.  You always need green onions in the kitchen.

Yeah, I planted some red and yellow bulb onions and a ton of green onions. I planted one window planter full and spread the rest throughout my pepper plots. They're supposed to be a companion plant that helps keep the pests away and improve flavor. I really like the looks of those and may have to give them a shot if I decide to do a second planting in the fall. Thanks for the idea!

Had to pot up my round two plants.  Still have some left to germ, but most are up.

I am officially out of space in the grow room.  Starting a tray of tomatoes tomorrow, and they will have to go in the small green grow table.  I told them all to suck in their gut for another week,

Oh the stories we have.....

But tomatoes are going in the dirt tomorrow as I have things to do Saturday.  Got the pellets soaking and they will be ready to go tomorrow morning.

Tomatoes are in the dirt.

4 pineapple ground cherries
4 aunt molly ground cherries
4 ground cherries

4 everona tomatillo
4 green husk tomatillo

4 sun sugar cherry tomatoes
30 better boy tomatoes
6 umberto tomatoes
2 gardners delight tomatoes
10 super boy tomatoes

Nice mater list!

I cut back from 70 plants that we grew last year, I'm around 30 this season. We're big into early girls, they perform well here.

Next you'll be asking why I'm not growing Rutgers :)

Na, don't care about those. You do a lot of canning right? What is your canning tomato? I always used Romas.

Do to some older seed not germinating well, mostly older sweets, I have resorted to putting some seed in zip lock bags behind the wood stove to see if I can get something to pop.  I will still have a ton of plants here either way.  Next year I will have to purchase more hybrid seeds since my stash is now gone.

Still hoping the giant thai makes an appearance, but if it don't, I think I can get some plants locally.  Really don't like bringing plants in from other places as I am relatively pest free here.

Still have some onions coming up from the 4 varieties I planted earlier.  Got two more packs of seeds coming, plus I have walking and some sets to plant.  I should be good on onions.  Looking forward to cooking with Chipolini onions.

Everything else that I am planning on starting indoors will probably go into the cells next week instead of waiting on April 1.  Most of this stuff I generally direct sow, but thought I might jump start their season by starting early.  If it doesn't work out, I can still direct sow when the time comes.  I got plenty of space in the grow room any how lol.

Haven't been on much as I had some things going on, but I should get back to normal soon.

Hope everyone's weekend was good.
