Nice looking rear garden. Between that and all the new raised beds, You'll be swimming in fresh produce by July.

You're next big purchases are going to end up being at http://www.fillmorecontainer.com/Default.aspx to get all the canning supplies that you need for your harvest.

I can almost smell that fish from here. Never really had any interest in crappie, but smoked fish is good eating no mater what it is.

Don't forget my front garden :)  I have a good supply of jars, but I will look into that link when canning season nears.  Hoping to do some hot sauce if I ever figure out what I am doing lol

Beautiful soil and fish, Jeff.
Both make my mouth water. :D
+1 on Fillmore, great prices and variety.

I've been itching to dig in the dirt and fish for many months now.  Glad I am able to scratch both itches now.

Man I need to get a smoker.

Thanks for making my mouth water, Jeff.

I love my smoker.  Can't wait to get on some peppers in it and see if they turn out better than the ones I smoked on my charcoal grill

I won't show the pic of the walleye I got today then.  Not smoking this one.

That link is great for hot sauce bottles too. Bought 5 dozen last year.

I think I will use 4 ounce mason jars for my sauce so I can get them to seal.  Those normal hot sauce bottles with plastic lids I am leery of since I don't see how they seal without being water bathed, open kettled, or pressured.

I'd like to post a pic or two of the plants, but the grow room is like a jungle right now.

Okay, snapped a few pics with the phone...no gender specific pics though.

I'm liking those bed you built out of the lawn timbers Jeff, curious, are they just floating on the ground or did you put any feet on them and bury them a foot or so into the ground to keep them from moving around? I'll be building some pretty soon and am currently debating whether to add some footing to them or not.

That smoked fish looks outstanding! I'm working on a new rub for fish. When it's done I'll PM you for an addy and send you a sample to try out.

Good grief, that's gotta be a workout to water all those.

My thoughts exactly.

Jeff, is the weather nice enough to get some of those bigger ones outside for a while and get them out of the grow room?
I have most of the 1 gallon pot and bigger plants out on the deck right now, but they all will come in tonight since it will be dipping to the low 30s.

My grow room suddenly doesn't look as cramped.

They don't all get watered every day, but it is a royal pain in the butt to do so.  It is getting close to the end of the grow room for this season.

The timbers are all fastened together and I had to raise the last two up on the west ends to get them "some what" level.  I back filled those spots to save on the precious black dirt.  I used to dirt I dug out from my building for that purpose.  I don't think they will move around once filled, but that isn't a few rebar stakes won't stop.  In hind sight, I should have drilled holes and used rebar on connecting them all together (from a cost stand point) but I think I would have to had leveled the ground first.

A footing would be best, and would make things perfecting level, but then it wouldn't be hillbilly :)

I am 5 weeks from plant out and 3 weeks from starting to harden them off.  Going to hit 20s tonight then bounce back.  I haven't looked at the long term forecast, but that is way too much pulling out and putting in for me to mess with.  When they can spend the nights in the garage, that's when they will start the hardening off process.  I can always rig up emergency heat in there like I did last year.

As it stands right now, I need to remove the tops from two of my shelving units so I can raise the lights on two shelves.  Tomatoes planted on March 15th are already a foot tall.

Those raised beds aren't going anywhere, especially once they're filled.

Omelets look great, one of my favorites!

Glad time to plant is coming closers, those plants are huge!

I like the idea of hardening them off out by the garage, I had 9 1gal pots in each box and 11 boxes, that was just the larger ones. Hauling them in and out is a pain!

Have a good week!

Friggen snowing here and it looks like it is sticking...I mean really???  It'll be gone tomorrow, but still....

I was going to like this post but thought better of it. Snow in April sucks. That $hit will probably be here by morning too.
