condiment Hot and spicy salsa

This is just an easy salsa recipe I sometimes make for games or holidays. Changes can be made according to taste, and habaneros can be replaces with jalapeños or other peppers.




Ingredients:
6 tomatoes (roma and bigboy, even if possible)
2 red onions
1 clove garlic
1 bunch cilantro
1 bunch celery
4-6 habaneros
1 green/yellow bell
salt/pepper
1 Lime

Finely chop tomatoes to desired size and put in large bowl (I like mine chunky)
Chop 1-2 onions, depending on taste
Mince half clove garlic
add 1/2 bunch chopped cilantro
1/3 cup of finely chopped white celery
add chopped habeneros, depending on how hot
Half of chopped bell pepper
Squirt of lime juice and some lime zest
salt/season to taste

Mix well and cover bowl with plastic and leave in fridge for 3-4 hours
serve cold

Thanks for posting. I've been making salsa from scratch for years...and never thought of putting in the celery! Good ingredient for extra crunch. Already thinking of my next salsa.....

yeah i forgot to put that since i dont really have it written down, but i've never thought of tequila, ill have to try that
