Hot Sauce/Chile Load Limit?

So I'm sitting down to my usual Sunday morning coffee followed by breakfast of leftover chicken enchies. Open the fridge, grab the hotsauce.(Orange Hab from a batch made last week). Notice the stash is getting low. Then it hits me. I am about to open up a new 5oz. bottle.....the 4th in 7 days!! That doesn't count the 2 2oz. bottles I ate at work. Then I start to thinking about all the hot sauce and chile's I have consumed in the last 7 days. The total...

19oz. orange hab sauce
20 fresh jalapeno's
14 fresh orange habs
2 fresh off the plant pequins
6 Anaheim's

For some reason that seems like alot but then...

Whats ya'lls load limit?

All i has to say is that your sig must be spot on, one would need diapers after consuming that amount of capsaicin, bugger me.....

I cook with the peppers mostly which seem to take a good deal of the heat out but leaves alot of flavor. The japs all and all are childs play next to the habs. You'd be surprised how many you can eat of both when they are grilled. The real surprise is the last batch of sauce was very hot, at least for me but the more I ate it, the more accustomed I got to it. You are right though, it does seem like an awful lot. No worries on the colon blow output. I only have issues when I eat peppers solo. Everything is groovy coming down the pipe.

Nice to see your Bowl Movements are fine,Peppers have a great balance of Vitamins more than a number of fruits and veg,The amount you can take depends on a number of factors including whats in the rest of your diet,But Knowing a good lady friend of mine that consumes the hot stuff at a rate of Knots i think your long time Chili addiction will be fine Brother..As with all things moderation..Unless there cooked on the grill and im with you :(
 
Ummmm...if I had to guess, in the peak of chili-season, 3-5 fresh peppers, 3 ounces of pepper powder, 1/4th bottle of hot sauce, and 4 hours on THP reading and posting....this is per day...sometimes I do more, especially if I'm reviewing a sauce that day.
 
I would say 2 full hot peppers like nagas or habs a week and at least 2 full 5 oz bottles of sauce a week.

sauces are a mix of mild to serial killer and cajohn heat level sauces and the peppers are now powders .
 
I eat about 4 or 5 peppers a day of various kinds, serranos, japs, scotch bonnets, o. habs etc...and I really can't gauge how many peppers are in my food...I use hotter peppers when I cook....

I am eating lunch at my desk today....brought some of my chili and have already eaten half a bowl and two ripe red serranos, just getting ready to eat a yellow hab....I have one more serrano and a red savina to go...

let it suffice to say, I eat more fresh peppers than sauce this time of year...

I was definitly in the league back in LA. When I was working ta places like EA Games and Disney Interactive we had our own chef in the comisary. I would have him cook up my peppers in my orders and probably went through around 40-70 peppers a week.

I had the chef's trained at EA so that when I approached the counter they held their hands out for the peppers. Classic.

Winter's coming here, so not as many peppers, but I still have frozen EBIL Habs, and other stuff. Lots of sauces too. Reminds me, I gotta do a review for the sauces Tippy brought...ugh.

After the week with the guys I pretty much hibernated...lol So, haven't been eating lots of hot the last week.

Enjoying my Bhut Taco Filling and the Naga Mama sauce still though. :cool:

I will try to see if any one can see the humor in this.

when Rainbow said 50 habs a week my mind wondered off to a jail type scenario where guy goes to jail and the night befor he eats a few nagas .
he is greeted buy a 6 foot 5 guy that thinks he is cute and rapes him!!! only to find his weapon burning like hell and runs off :snooty:

or

she says she is not into that and he talks her into it and gets the same result.

sorry I know this is not a good place to air my dirty mind but come on I am sure its possible to transmit the heat of a pepper in this way??:lol:

Just killed another 5oz. bottle of hab sauce. That's 5 in nine days. Where's my doctor??
