How in the world did this happen?

How did it start, Juha? You're among friends...

I can't remember how it started for me, but I remember some things clearly. When I was still living at home, I asked my mother if we could plant a hab. We did. It produced so many fruits and I melted my mouth. Later on, out on my own, I found hot peppers at farmers' markets. I melted my mouth more. I went to a Mexican joint and dared my future wife to eat the hot pepper on her plate, she did, almost vomited fire (heat isn't her bag), and I couldn't stop laughing the entire night. (She stuck with me!) But I kept going back. I remember asking for spicy at various Indian and Thai restaurants and getting what I asked for - The Morning After Flame Cleanse. Then, one day, at a different Thai joint, I asked for spicy, so the owner brought me a dish of his special blend. I serenaded my meal with it and didn't sweat a single drop. He looked at me with utter shock. (It was probably not that hot.) Now, I dare young children to eat hot peppers (two of my nephews) and the results are entertaining. Disclaimer: I tell them what they're eating and what can happen. They make the choice. I just goad.

I bought a chilli plant for my mum for Christmas in early November, looked after it until the big day, then early december got myself a habanero seedling
Then my girlfriends friends got me a chilli plant for christmas as well and then I ordered shitloads of seeds online for some reason

nek minit balcony full of plants
I just skewer all the chillis and bbq them tbh

Don't worry, one day it will get to be too much work, and you'll reel yourself back in. A few pest problems, a couple of out of town trips, injuries, etc, etc. I've managed to get down to just a couple of small plots. (this doesn't include my tomato/tomatillo area on the other side of the house)

I would like a slightly more organized version of this.

They say you become what you judge, right? I am gearing up to fly past your pic.

I apologize if I offended!

My reply was in response to your post, "I remember seeing that picture thinking, "That seems a little excessive."" , as in how fascinating you thought my grow excessive but now you have the same obsession.

It's amazing how without face to face communication these posts can offend..... Again, sorry for any confusion!

We are on the same page.

Funny thing is that in the abstract, this many plants is just ridiculous. I think my amount of plants is ridiculous. At the same time I am still planting seeds.

I have become the ridiculous I have judged!

What makes you think people would like you any better in person? :D
I've met NECM in person, and he's a hell of a great guy. Lot of fun to hang out with in person, and he's helped me immensely over the years (on multiple forums) with all of my stupid computer questions. He's been a huge help to me, and no doubt, to countless other people.

Some people just don't get along with people who have an answer for f-cking everything. The whole "my way is the only way, and damn anyone who disagrees with me" mantra gets tiring pretty f-cking quick.

I'm not singling any one person out in particular, but if the shoe fits.....
