Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeitt!! Entire house is packed and in the container ready for pickup. House is empty except for 3 amps, ten guitars, 1 pair each of Averet, Tony Llama and Nocona boots, my clothes, 2 fly rods, 8 reels, 5,000 flies, and some cast iron. That's it! mrs. blues leaves for DFW tomorrow at 730 am leaving just me and missylou to clean house. I haven't eaten any meat for quite some time but I swear the first 'thang I'm going to get my grub on with when I hit Tejas is a big ol' chicken fried steak and a mess o' fries swimmin' in cheese sauce and pickled 'peno's! I just might wash it all down with an ice cold Shiner! One month to go for moi and missylou and I'll be sayin' adios to teh big dry ditch.

my wife just came back from Houston and she couldn't believe how big the food portions were at any given restaurant. Just because you are going to the land of gluttons(not meant as any disrespect) but you don't have to endulge. Just because it's available doesn't mean you have to partake.

I think i would be forgiving on the pickled 'peno's.

I'm sure being back in Texas will increase your metabolism, since EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas! :lol:

Gotta admit, every time I go back to visit the fam, my stomach hurts for at least a week after. Have an extra CFS for me, please.....

That's Texas compadre. And thank you I am well aware of our dedication to huge portions. I have no intention of returning to bad eating habits. I hope to make Tejas a better place.
 
In terms of eating, I personally think it is all about moderation. If you are eating chicken fried steak smothered in gravy every night it probably isn't the best choice. If you eat it once in a while and don't make yourself clean the plate you should be alright. Especially since you are eating healthy portions of vegetables in addition to exercising.

aside from that...congrats to both of you moving to TX, I know you TB you've missed TX alot & good to see you're getting back to where you want to be. whats the reason why you're moving, job or just cuz you wanted to move back to TX ?

My dear sweet mrs. blues woke up to an ice storn this morning in DFW. Everythang is closed, including the airports. Still beats teh big dry ditch!
