Hi all...Been a while. I got lots of free time now (at least 4 months worth lol) I had an accident at work and got hurt pretty good. I broke my shoulder in 3 places, dislocated the joint and tore the bicep away from the bone. Well this past Thursday I had surgery and they repaired it all!! Now I am going into rehab and am off from work between 4 and 6 months! (just in time for the holidays.....lol....Good thing I hurt my left arm (i'm right handed)

Welcome back, sorry to hear of your mis-fortune, hope you heal well and fast.
Hard way to go just to get some time off to relax, Really though your lucky that its fixable my little accident took me off the work force for good. Take it easy and do what they say.

I drive dump trucks and haul Asphalt. My dipshit dispatcher decide to have a FNG drive my truck at night. The dumb a$$ let about 5 ton or so of rubberized asphalt (some really gooey and sticky stuff) go cold in my bed. He left a big mess for me. So I climb up the side of my truck and get in the box....picking at the mess trying to break it up and oil it down. When I was climbing back out of the box I lost my footing and slipped. I fell about 10 foot, landed on my elbow which drove my arm up and dislocated the shoulder. The hit was so violent that the bones that hold the shoulder joint together broke and evidently it moved far enough to tear the bicep muscle as well.
On the bright side my doctor perscribbed some really good pain relievers for me!!!!!

sorry to hear of your misfortune...I would be talking to the FNG thats for sure...
in the mean time Vicadin 750s are great...may not kill the pain but you really don't care...

Just make sure you don't become addicted. A buddy of mine did. I'm sure you won't but just saying. Good luck and a speedy recovery.
Well, I guess there's GOOD news in there somewhere. My dad used to drive dump truck. He had a few accidents, and it ALWAYS entailed someone ELSE being an IDIOT. Well, except for the time he got hit by a train. Yes, a TRAIN. Dumb ass state wouldnt cut the trees down in front of the track, so you couldnt see. And of course, there were no signs or warning ANYTHING there at that intersection.

Welcome back Dyce. Sorry to hear about your injuries, guess you will be relaxing a bit this Christmas season. Just glad that you are back.
