Jamison's "Red Dirt Grow" PLANTOUT 5/4/14

It's that time of year again, although a couple weeks behind. I just arrived in Tennessee, moving from Wisconsin not even two weeks ago. The fam and I are all settled in and I'm officially ready to start some seeds! Being in a completely different part of the country, and growing in completely different soil than I'm used to, I still have high hopes. I'm sure I'll be able to whip a garden into shape in no time. I'm def gonna have to get out there very soon and till a large plot. Enough blabberin, I'll get to a list. I'll also list the seed source if I'm sure of where I got them. Seeds are going to soak in distilled water for 20-24 hours starting tonight or tomorrow morning and most will be put into Rapid Rooters soaked in a weak solution of Kangaroots and water, and a few in soil with a heat mat underneath the germ tray. I have a few Manzanos sprouted already, a couple Rennie clones, and a White Devils Tongue sprouted and working on it's first true set of leaves. I'll try to fill this with as much useful info, pics, and hopefully vids as I can. Thanks for checkin this out!

Great looking pods and plants, Jamison. This is the first time I see a White Bhut that actually has some elongated pods. Those Chocolate Moruga's look awesome :) I actually like the look of the pods of the first Pink Tiger more. They kinda look like Dulac's PDNxJonah cross.

Thanks Stefan!  I'm hoping that White Bhut gets a little bit gnarlier towards the end of ripening but we'll see.  Yea man,  them Chocolate Morugas are sending chills down my spine every time I look at em.  Def gonna be scared when it comes time to try it.  Glad you like the Pink Tigers man.  Hoping they get some stripes!

Great update Jamison!

Those plants are loving the weather there in Tennessee.

So how do you like it?

Thanks Scott!  Yea they seem to like it a lot actually.  It def helps that it rains everyday here and I mean every day!  Haven't had to water since the beginning of last month
Now for me,  I'm still getting adjusted to the heat.  It's frickin hot and muggy everyday.  Can't do anything outside without looking like you just jumped in the pool.  It's sticky!  I love the area I'm in and the house I bought and the single acre of land is also nice besides mowing with the push mower.  Def need to invest in a riding mower.  Actually just now got done mowing    Not looking forward to the next time.    The wife and kids love it as well.  Jobs weren't easy to get for sure.  Just got done with my second week at my job yesterday.  So far so good with the job.  And yes,  they  call me Yankee lol.  Not too much around me but woods and farms.  Def out in the boondocks where I'm at which is nice and quiet except the occasional gun shot lol.  I had to go up north last April and was extremely happy to come back and glad I don't live up in WI anymore.  Starting to get to know people and it seems like home now.  I really appreciate you asking man!  I appreciate that!

MoA

7Pot Rennie

Unfortunately while I was mowing the yard my 7Pot Rennie went from this

to this :mope:  4 kids playing in my front yard and mysteriously not one of em did it :liar:   I was not happy and still aren't.

And some Beef brisket,  it's whats for dinner    Been smoking since 11 this morning.  Still going as I type this. Gonna be good!

Hey guys!  Life has taken a hold of me lately.  Between tearing off and putting on a new roof on my house by myself,  working 45+ hours a week, a 2 year old daughter and a 7 year old son,  I've been extremely busy!  Couldn't tear the backside of my roof off last night and finish shingling it today because of the storms last night and today so I finally got a little time to take pics of the plants,  and I mean a little time.  Got out there between storms and took a couple quick pics while my daughter was still sleeping

Finally getting some ripening on some pods.  Seems like a long time coming!!

Ok that's all for today!  Thanks for the bumps and checkin in everyone.  Enjoy your Sunday guys and gals!

Nice update Jamison!

Happy plants loaded with mas poddage!

Remember the pineapples don't like to be out when it freezes.

And I here ya about humidity. We first came to Texas in August, the concrete was still hot at 10PM. But you'll get used to it. Just keep hydrated. By next summer things will feel better. Another thing about the warmer climate, I tend to be outside at first light and get all the work done by 12-1PM

Have a great week!

PS: Pm me your new addie.

It's def warm down here.  Starting to get used to sweating like a slave on the auction block.  I thought it was hot in WI during the summer but it isn't even comparable to how hot it is here in the summer.  Def gonna take that Pineapple inside for the winter.  I see they make some cool houseplants as well.  I've been trying to get everything done before the sun gets too high.  Usually been getting in before 2 and out again around 4pm to do anything that needs to be done outside.  I was working on my roof last week and the shingles and tar paper were so hot to the touch I had to come down.  Took a little nap and went back out around 4:30 to get the front all finished up.  Really need this rain to stop so I can get at the back half of my roof.  Having the caps ripped off the ridge is making me extremely nervous with this rain.  I have it covered but don't know how well it's gonna keep the water out of my attic.  I'll PM you my addy bud!  Thanks for checkin in!
