Jedisushi06 2014 Grow, Return of the JEDI

I started fairly early this year of 2013 for 2014.  I had a good garden season this summer and grew lots of super hots and non super hots.  I produced over 200 pounds of tomatoes for canning, and lots of cucumbers for pickles.  I used my last big tomato and pepper harvest to can salsa.  I plan on growing more plants this year and trying to grow some types i did not get around to this summer.  I also plan on growing peas, tomatoes, rhubarb, mixed greens, pumpkins, and non super hot peppers and thai chiles for drying.  Here's an updated list of what i'm growing so far.  I have plans for lots more peppers so stay tuned.  I want to thank all the great people on here that taken their time to send me seeds to grow, i want to give a shout out to Romy 6, Bhut Camp, megahot, Jack Superhot, Tmudder, Spicegeist, Colorado Ronin, Judy at pepperlover, silver surfer, Semilnas, Nigel Carter, Bill Moore, chile beast, Brian Seal, lucky dog hot sauce, Chris Joyner, my favorite cowboy, old barn nursery, and old dirty bastard.

Sauce sounds like a killer, I'd say it was a seasoned puree. I made a puree out of Reapers last year and gave away a few bottles. One couple who can tolerate the heat told me 3 drops on a taco is all they can handle.

And you're doing a table spoon?

Hmmm, that may bring on the required ice cream treatment ;)

Yeah I can almost do a whole spoonful at this rate I'm going. Might be doing some pod reviews this year, only problem is the stomach cramps with those. I only eat half pods though
I hear you on the stomach cramps. Now I start out with a few slivers so I can judge flavor. Then I work up to half of the pod to judge heat. My poppin a whole pod days are over after elcap's Yellow Scorpion awhile back. Hope your plants are thriving.

they are still adjusting, these cold nights are slowing them down.  I'm finally getting around to making tea today.

i got some tea going a minute ago.  i will post some pics soon and a recipe.  Your Tea looks great.

Jedisushi06 Master Veg Tea Recipe

2tbl molasses
5teaspoons epsom salt
2 tbl mycos 30 powder
1 cup earthworm casting
1/3 cup mexican bat guano
1/3 cup sumatran bat guano
1/3 cup fish meal
1/3 blood meal

I like to take an old milk jug and mix up the epsom salt and molasses in that with the mycos powder, then i dump it into the mix.  I add the dry ingredients into a paint strainer bag that i put into a bucket to hold the bag.  Add the bag to your water mix and let brew for 48 hours.  i hear it's ready in 24 but i normally go 48 on it.  Since this recipe is so strong i cut it down to thirty gallons or more by mixing in extra water.  I will also add some other nutes in after this is ready, Cal mag and grow nutes etc.  I'll highlight my bloom tea recipe later this summer.

Pulled the rhubarb the other day and cut it up and froze it.  Jam this summer!

failed to mention it was 4 cups of rhubarb, cherry rhubarb jam maybe?  Have to see what local fruits i can get at the market this year.  I made apple rhubarb last year.

I love rhubarb. We used to pick it and eat it with sugar at my Grand Mere house. Damn it was good!
Yeah i used to pick it from the garden at my grandparents house in Iowa when i was a kid.  Their plant is over 50 years old!

Yum, rhubarb. Love rhubarb pies.

That sauce looks hot as hell. Almost weapons grade.

Tea newbee here: any reason you put the lid on while it brews? Does it brew better in the dark or are you just trying to contain the mess of overflowing froth?

Plants look good.

I'm not sure if having the lid on helps, but it can froth up and spill over, reason i have each bucket in a container.  Plants are doing good, it takes them a bit to get adjusted to hot days and cool nights, but they figure it by july.  I'm missing two air stones that i need to replace today so my brew is not as bubbly as it should be.  I'm going to try and put some egg shells into my next brew.

I used to eat it just sweetened in dumplings with a little milk and cream in a bowl, but strawberries make a fine addition to that.
sounds yummy!
