Joyner's Hot Pepper Powders 2014 GLOG

As of now here is the somewhat final list for the 2014 growing season...the 7 pot red has a question mark because I am waiting to see if I can use a 1/2 acre in Va of my uncles and isolate. It is very hard to leave over 100 different varieties in the seed bin and not grow them all out!

Best of luck to everyone and I plan to get seeds started in the next few days.

Wow Chris.. it looks like you pulled the pin and let 'er rip with your harvests lately... good job!

I've never heard of a pepper plant putting out two kinds of pods unless some of the branches were grafted on from another plant. What happens if you leave the orange pods on the plant longer?

They start to dry. they do not taste the same and the heat level of the Yellow is much hotter. Very crazy!

Braconid wasp with his/her larvae on a hornworm caterpillar as it enjoys its soon to be last meal. We love nature and all natural means to keep our plants healthy.

I like that pod caddy.........it gives the harvest a chance to breath.

I only saw one horn worm this year. It was the smallest thing but was covered in white larvae. Years back there might have been two or three on a the same plant.......hmm.....I have noticed alot of fat birds this year though.....lol.

That is the only one I have seen as well and he didn't make it. :)

The wife gave me two of those carriers for father's day. I can easily fill it but too many red pods look the same and didn't want to mix any :) The other one was full of Jals, Serranos, Fatali, Caribbean reds and some crazy ass hab. Finally starting to get decent harvest, nothing like yours though :)

Nice Ghosts Chris... how would you say the Chocolate Bhut tastes? Pretty cool that you got friendlies in your inner perimeter to neutralize the antagonistic Hornworms...  I may only get 4 or 5 grade-A pods on my 3 MoAs too, but I don't think it changes the flavor any... it's been one of my favorites this year.

Keep up the good work!
