Joyner's Hot Pepper Powders 2014 GLOG

As of now here is the somewhat final list for the 2014 growing season...the 7 pot red has a question mark because I am waiting to see if I can use a 1/2 acre in Va of my uncles and isolate. It is very hard to leave over 100 different varieties in the seed bin and not grow them all out!

Best of luck to everyone and I plan to get seeds started in the next few days.

Cool selection of Thai's...exactly what i was planning on doing :)
Thanks! The hope is to make it much easier on myself to compile the pods required for the 15 blend. It was a very painful process last season and this should solve that issue.

Looking good Chris. Out of all of your Thai peppers, I noticed that the Prik Kee Nuu Suan is missing. After the growdown last year, I can understand why. Great pepper, if it was only 10 times larger. Way too much work to harvest.

Good luck this year.

Thanks and yes, picked our favorites of all the Thai plants and the ones that make the blend.

It's interesting to see the difference between outdoor and hydro for me...this is my first season growing peppers and i'm still soaking up all the know-how i can get my hands on.

I believe the Thai Red Demon is the red version of the orange variety you are growing above right?

Not wanting to clutter up your thread but here's my hydro demon after 9 weeks for your amusement :D

I have another Thai red in a different location that is like a bush. I'll be taking pictures of the other 90 plants throughout the weekend. :) Nice plant btw.

I think the Thai Red Demon is different than the Thai Red. We can compare once they pod up but a typical Thai red will do this...

Very nice Thai pics Chris! Wish mine looked as good as yours, but I expect they'll catch up some when the overnight lows get up into the 60s consistently. My Prik Leuang's lower leaves are looking a little twisty, which I put down to the cooler nights we had a couple of weeks ago. The new growth on top looks normal. Is that your experience too?

My top growth did that on many plants but not any lower. I sprayed all recently just to make sure if it was the red spider mites I'd rid myself of them. Also really bad year for flea beetles. Thanks for the Thai plant compliments all! ;)

It's cold here at night, temps ranging from 85 day to 44 at night, my thai chiles don't seem to mind it but the super hots are struggling to take off.

We're pretty close to the same conditions here Jedi... Annuums and Baccatums are doing the best and the rest are taking their time until they like conditions better. Here;s what the Prik Leuang looks like.
