JutsFL pepper glog - 2014 (first from seed grow)

Here goes everyone, definitely new to the site - but I've been growing peppers for fun for a while. Not exactly how I did It this year though. I've always used the starter plants from local nurseries, but decided to have my hand at a from seed grow this time. I wanted something more substantial this time, not just the few plants that I had always had in the past. It's a learning experience for sure, and it took a lot of researching to make the switch from a small hobby grow to a larger from seed hobby grow. I was always fine with a small amount of peppers before, but I got the itch this year.... And here we are.

First I constructed my grow box...

Originally had the FlouroWing grow light, then added 2 more 6500k lights as an addition...all on timers

Now the seed starting... I used a heating mat and some cheap plastic condiment containers from Walmart. It worked amazingly well, and kept the moisture in just right. Had to keep an eye on them because once they sprouted, there's not much room till it hits the top! I planted (on the first round) hot Hungarian wax, t. Moruga scorpion, Carolina reaper, red bell, Fresno, and pablano.

Annnnnnnd the site gives me an error message and won't allow me to add the rest of the photos... Suppose that's all for now folks :/

Hate to hear and see all that damage. Been in Tampa the last few days and had some nasty storms rolling through. Here. Have managed to save some split limbs if it wasn't too long since it happened by tying them back up and duct taping them back together. Plants are looking great otherwise and cranking mad pods.
...did get some good pods indeed man.

But today's storm gave one plant the ole' FL haircut :/

That sucks bud! The green pods make good sauce though to by the way, a lot of time as I take green end of season pods and ferment them, then add nopales or kiwi or green tomatoes and/or lime juice to make a nice sauce!

O no! I feel your pain...Very nice looking grow though. How do you like the drip/spray system so far?
The drip is a straight up life saver! I can actually go days now without having to mess with all the plants. The system works great too. Saves me literally hours a week. A bit of an investment for the plants at round a 100 bucks, but well worth it.

The remaining savina's break out with hip hundreds of pods (have three remaining, and this is an underside shot of a third of the single plant:

Reapers are about to make their third harvest... Have four of them, and this little guy has over a hundred green prospects for round 3:

... Here was the last harvest a while back:

I'm just 2 1/2 hour southeast of you and my plants had no production at all this season. I'm so jealous. Had the usual flower/pod dropping guessing due to heat and humidity, even had small outbursts of aphids surprisingly this year. They have been down-poured on and knocked over for about 3 days from that TS Arthur. Maybe I'll get lucky and they will do something once it starts cooling off again around September. Been planning a pavers patio to move them to under a shade cloth but that's been slow going with working and all.

Nice job and good luck with the rest Jay :)

Thanks guys!

...the whole wind and blow over has become quite the problem here in Orlando as well, I feel your pain on that one!

Haven't really had any updates for a while, but here's a couple of pics. I just got off of work for the day (work the night shift).

This is one of 2 late started Takunatsume:

Have to love the FL weather, it's like a jungle walking through the middle of them!
